It was ok
by
I wasn't drawn into the movie itself. The cinematography was excellent, but when you are Disney, it had better be. I found the descent to the wicked witch of Mila Kunis to be a bit predictable from a storyline point of view. I could see her becoming the wicked witch for a while. But, I still thought the story did not develop her feelings for Oz enough to at least make her character sympathetic enough to feel burned by Oz. They had barely known each other, how could she have felt that betrayed by his lack of desire for her? It just wasn't believable enough from a writing perspective. There were some good scenes but largely I felt the movie bored me. I felt it a little too corny in parts. I will say that I thought Franco did a good job with what he had. The movie itself was good enough to see for the price I paid at the drive-in movie combined with my viewing of Iron Man 3, but would not have justified a full-priced ticked in my opinion.
