A fun movie

The story was well told, but I didn't find the witches all to compelling. I liked Mila Kunis character Theodora early in the movie, but lost interest after she became evil. I thing it was a combination of so-so makup and writing. I liked James Franco as Oz. I thought he did a good job. All-in-all worth seeing though.

Slow start to fun finish

After the first 45 minutes I was ready to leave the theatre. The dialogue was corny and juvenile, then I hear the laughter of some kids behind me to remind that this is for all ages. Once the action gets going it becomes a fun movie. I found the 3-D more of a distraction than an enhancement.

Great movie and not just for kids. I especially liked the monkey voiced by Zach Braff. It was cool to see what they came up with for the back story of the wizard and the three witches.

Oz the great and powerful

I enjoyed "Oz" although it didn't have the level of "fun and wonder" that I expected. The characters were well played and the visuals were great. It could have used a couple more songs, and the one by the Munchkins shouldn't have been cut short - it was great! The "more for adults" theme was fine, and since most of it was "implied" kids will be fine with it. The 3 D was excellent albeit short in some sequences. I recommend OZ for an enjoyable experience.

Very well made and entertaining. Some what long- could have cut about 20-30 minutes from the film to make it better. Story wasn't too much and writing seemed a little week. Good casting- especially Michelle Williams and Zack Braff.
