The movies had surprises, adventure. It was so colorful and beautiful you wanted to become part of the movie, because the people were nice, and it would be nice if that was how the real world was. Fun picture for the family one witch was a bit scarey.

The 3D effects in this movie were great. However in my personal opinion, the movie starts off slow.I think it should have been rated 13 & up, as certain characters popping up unexpectedly on the 3D screen may frighten younger children, such as the wicked witch & the flying monkeys. It progresses into an interesting enough story though .I would give it 4 stars as it was a bit predictable and corny at times.

Loved the movie. It revives the beloved Wizard of Oz that I have enjoyed for so many years. Great effects and the 3D was the best I have seen in a long time. Answers a lot of the questions we all had about how the witches and Oz came to be.
I would highly recommend it.

My family went to see it on Sunday with some friends and my daughter (7) and I were so excited my husband and son (14) not so much, but when we walked out laughing and talking and rehashing the whole thing realized everyone LOVED it even the 14 year old (who is normally much to cool for these sort of things). We loved the black and white beginning and when we were introduced to the land of Oz the brightness and the imagary was awesome! It was so fun to delve into the characters backstories. Michelle Williams and James Franco were just terrific. I want to go back and see it again. And we will be adding it to our blu-ray collection when it comes out!

I love the fact that they were ablet o keep someof the original parts, and it showed what made the second sister so evil. My husband and I really enjoyed watching it. It is a must see in 3D to get the full effect. I'm going to purchase the movie as soon as it's available.
