Somewhere in OZ

From the opening credits to the end notes the visual effects are quiet impressive. Many of the scenes in OZ are breathtaking. Although the storyline may be a little "stretched", all in all it was a tale well told and easy to follow. And YES some of the flick may NOT be suitable for the young ones (not to many). Do go especially if you love Disney, 3D, and/or fantasy.

Amazing! Wonderful! Incredible! Just got back from watching "Oz, The Great and Powerful". Such a fun movie! I loved it! I knew I would. So colorful and the story line filled in what was missing from the original movie back in "39. We watched in XD Real 3D. Worth seeing it again at the theater.

Loved this movie! As good or better than the original Wizard of Oz. Fantastic colors, sets, characters, and costumes. Great for all ages. Followed the original storyline fairly well. Well worth the extra money to see in 35mm 3D. Five stars.

Bad

This movie is so boring, I left in the middle. The acting was mediocre at best. Not even the 3D effects can save it. My recommendation is to save your money for another movie. This one isn't worth it.

Oz, the Great and Powerful 3D prequel to the one with Dorothy, is pretty much all that until about five-eighths of the way through when everyone sort of loses interest and kind of shuffles around in metaphysical 2D existential symbiosis until the last ten minutes or so when they all suddenly remember why they are making this movie: FRANCHISE! Also, I thought Munchkins had "no tall people" in Oz's CC&Rs. Must have come later.
