So disappointed...

The acting was sub-par, the casting was horrendous and the effects were less than stellar. 1/4 of the way through I told my husband how disappointed I was in the movie. And that attitude never changed. I was all set to LOVE this movie, being an avid Oz buff....but this just didn't do it for me. The story line was rushed, as if they were just trying to get all the characters introduced quickly so they could get on with it and meet the next character. The dialog was rough and uncomfortable, the natural, believable flow of conversation was not there. You never got lost in the movie, you were always very well aware that these were actors playing a role--they reminded you at every turn. This is the FIRST movie that I've ever been so disappointed by. I might suggest it for a (much) younger crowd of elementary school kids because they're the only ones that don't care about the actual acting, but the story itself wasn't very good either!! Ugh. What a waste of time and very underwhelming.

This movies was great! The special effects with the 3D is awesome, made you feel you were right there! If you loved Wizaed of Oz you will enjoy this, Wicked Wiches, Glinda, Munckins, flying monkeys and MORE! Loved the China Doll, she was great!

Disappointing, This is definately PG. Good for kids. if you are looking for action, or anything exciting, this does not have it. No part of it is truly scary or thrilling. It comes off long and slow. The 3D effects are there but its hardly worth wearing glasses for. The occasional Falling snow flakes is really all I remember. I was ready for the end

An Unworthy Prequel

Tediously long, and, with the exception of Rachel Weisz, atrociously acted. This movie stunk, even from a "family film" perspective. Don't waste your money -- see it on TV if you have nothing else to do. The "experience of the theater" did nothing to enhance this film whatsoever.

Look, I am an Ozzie from way back. I liked the movie but I can't say that it was Fantastic. I tried to keep the expectaions out of it, but the movie had Disney written to into it I felt they should have backed off and let the movie just be the Prequel to Oz. I will see it again though cause I did like some of the special effects. Next time, WOW me!
