I saw this movie twice this week. Once on Tuesday with my son and his fiance and we saw it without 3D because neither of them like to watch 3D movies. I, on the other hand, love them. All through the movie I kept thinking how wonderful everything would look in 3D so yesterday I went by myself and watched the 3D version. Fantastic!!! Awesome story of how Oz got there in the first place. James Franco was the perfect Oz. I would venture to say he may well become the new Johnny Depp. It's hard to give a review of this wonderful film without adding a spoiler so I'll just close by saying you will love how everything leading up to the end plays out and how it relates to the future coming of Dorothy. Hmm...will Disney now do a remake with Dorothy and the gang? I'd go see it :)

The movie had vivid coloring, great imaginative scenery and effects. But moved very slow in the beginning, almost to the point of boring. I would not watch again-or recommend.

Good movie, worth seeing. CG was great, China doll was a creative character. Ending leaves Disney with a lot of story lines for a part 2......

Loved this movie! As good or better than the original Wizard of Oz.
Fantastic colors, sets, characters, and costumes. Great for all ages.
Followed the original storyline fairly well.
Well worth the extra money to see in 35mm 3D.

The movie was very good, nostalgic, and a treat for the eyes with all the special effects. However, casting Mila Kunis as the Wicked Witch of the West, what were they thinking? Maybe she hasn't out-lived her role on 'That 70's show', but unconvincing as a wicked witch. Also too pretty, could have cast someone half way to witch already, like Sarah Jessica Parker or one of the Kardashian strumpets. In spite of that, it is worth seeing.
