The effects were great. The characters were very memorable. Children of all ages will enjoy the magical adventure to Oz. The story linked most everything from the original Wizard with Judy Garland. The only thing I didn't see was the story behind the "Ruby Slippers". I will buy the DVD when available and enjoy the movie again and again.

I don't really recall the trailers marketing this for kids, but by the end, that's kind of what it seemed like. It got a little too cutesy/corny for me by the end. Visually it was great, but I feel like it was lacking a few key elements to make it a really amazing movie.

This is a very entertaining money...we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND all to see. 3D excellent. Don't think small children would be scared. We saw a boy around three and he seemed to enjoy the movie.

I had been looking forward to this movie for months. I think I had built it up way too much in my head because it was just ok. It was very slow going at times. Story line was not great. The scenerary was beautiful and I liked the 3-D affects. I think they could have done a better job casting for this movie. Was not impressed w/ Franco. Johnny Depp would have added a whole new dimension to this movie and I am not a Depp fan. The witches were not as scarey as Margaret Hamilton in the original Wizard of Oz.

The 3D version is very good - great special effects. I thought though that it was slow at the beginning and picked up once M. Kunis turned evil. Michelle Williams is fantastic in this movie. She plays Glinda perfectly. Some connections to the original Oz throughout.
