Dam it feels good to be a gangster!
Outrage!!! Japan?s crime underworld is no picnic. This rough gritty gangster flick prides itself with its brutal cut throat gangland killings. There is an underlying story here, but do I really care about it? The answer to that is no. In the end I can?t say I really care for any of the characters. Except for Takeshi Kitano?s role as Otomo. He plays a hard *** a little too well and fits the gangster persona. He plays an old school gangster in a changing world. Whose traditional ways of conducting business are out of date. He finds himself in the middle of an all-out gang war and all kinds of death and carnage fallows. In the end, if you like gangster movies, this film is with worth a watch. The story will not leave you thinking or analyzing the characters and their motives, but an enjoyable experience that gives insight to the hard life that is Yakuza.
