All around great movie. Not a huge Christian Bale fan but he deserves an Academy Award for this role. Plays it perfectly. I'm not sure how long the movie is I heard some people say it was a little over 2 hours but it felt like it was an hour long movie because you didn't want it to end. It wasn't the over the top action like most movies today and had just the right ratio of drama and action to keep everyone entertained. Probably my favorite movie of 2013.

Overall, this movie was so-so. It was sort of slow and the ending left us wondering what happened. It is a tragedy, I guess, the fall of a good character. It is a bit unclear what happens at the end. Also the scenes were slow so I found myself listening to the music in the background (score) and wondering about the person whose job it is to write/produce the score to add to the mood of the movie.

Should have been GREAT...it wasn't.

Went to this movie with high expectations due to the stellar cast and of course trailer advertising it. Started out strong, pulled you in then flatlined 1/4 way in...the emotional attachment between the 'brothers' was lost 1/2 way though the film which for me ruined it. With a cast this strong and talented I feel a much better film should have been created....my advice....wait too see it on DVD/On Demand.

It'd been too long since I'd seen an awesome movie. Parts of this movie I felt were just getting slow, then a great part of the plot happened. The story and movie were complete and full, the ties portrayed between family, brothers and communities are solid and you can feel the pride. By the end of the movie everything felt completely justified. It's a tough movie, the scenes are awesome and I'd recommend it to anyone.
