Watching this movie last night reminded me of just how many Stones Throw records I had and how, as a somewhat obscure music collector, just because I know the label doesn't mean that anyone else does. If you like music docs, this one isn't bad and if you have never heard of the truly independent record label stones throw, this is worth your time. If you know the label as dearly as I do, you might question a couple of turns the filmmakers took, phrasing the label's history as pre-dilla and post dilla, when its really madlib to aloe black soul. PB Wolf without a doubt should be proud of his achievement and catalouge, along the way helping other musicians and collectors make their way.

Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton is a very inspirational film. It's really nice to see home videos of Peanut Butter Wolf, Charizma, J Dilla & Madlib back in the days creating beats & music. Their love, passion & dedication for music is beyond amazing! It also shows how Wolf started Stones Throw Records & then gives talented people the opportunity to express themselves through music by being themselves.
