This is one of those syrupy kind of make you feel good movies.
The brother (Paul Rudd) is a clueless easy going hippy stoner from New York (hmmm) that causes trouble for those around him. However, he is just the type of personality that is needed by his family members as their own problems come to light.
The movie has many funny moments and some aspects were unbelievable but I guess that this is one of those movies that you shouldn't focus on the details too closely.
There is a moment of brief nudity (something for the ladies). Overall this movie is perfect for silly laughs but I would not say it was hilarious.

This is a movie about family relationships with a few laughs thrown in. Other than Ned (the brother) none of the characters are very likable or relatable, at least not to me anyway. The movie wasn't what I expected. It is "watchable", but don't expect much in the way of hilarity.
I brought my 16 year old daughter along and was a tad squeamish with some of the material. Definitely adult stuff; pot smoking, gay relationship/sex scenes etc. Nothing graphic but something to keep in mind.

Maybe its a generational gap but my 2 children (almost 50) liked it and I was completely bored. (my age 80)
