My Kid Won't Stop Talking About The Oogieloves

My wife and I took my daughter (2.5 years old) to the Oogieloves and she loved it! This movie is 1000% about the kids. I loved the fact that I did not need to have an anxiety attack wondering if my kid was going to offend anyone by singing and dancing around like a two and a half year old should be doing. If you are looking to get out with the kids and do something that they can enjoy...this is it. Now I have to go because my daughter keeps asking me to find J.Edgar (character in the movie) on the iPad. The only review on this film I would pay attention to would come from someone who actually took a child to the movie with them.

    A Total Winner

    by JennaJJ

Three moms. Seven kids between 3 and 8. A whole lotta fun!
This movie is unlike anything I've seen in theaters. The kids danced and cheered and had so much fun. Can't recommend it more highly.
No violence or scary stuff for parents to be worried about. Innocent and loving the whole way through.

Ignore the Nasty Critics - This movie is GREAT for kids!

Wow - critics are so mean. This movie is for kids and it's awesome. I have a three year old and a seven year old and they had a blast. No, I wouldn't go to this movie with just my girlfriends, but with kids it's awesome. Ignore the nasty critics and take your kids to this sweet film!

    Terrific Kids Film! Finally!

This is a MUST for kids. Finally a kid's movie that's meant for kids. I've tried too many times with the animated films, and my girls always get scared. And frankly, I'm sick of moms getting killed in all these Disney movies. What's up with that?
Can't say enough good things about the Oogieloves. Both my daughters are already talking about being Zoozie for Halloween. It's a fun G-rated film. Great, catchy songs and sweet characters. Lots of love in this movie. Go see it!

    Definitely!

Oh yes you must see the Oogieloves. Too cute for words. Took four little girls and darn if they weren't having a ball. Won't stop talking about it. Toni Braxton nailed it. They all did. And that Ruffy the fish is too funny. Finally a fun kids movie.

Great Movie for the Little Ones

    by dori198

We took out 2 year old to see it Thur night. He loved it! I would suggest this movie to any family that has little kids. The interactive singing and dancing for the kids was really cute. The butterfly wands we received were even cute to use in the movie. I would suggest you check it out for yourself.

    Painful for adults

My 6 year old daughter liked it but for adults it's brutally painful. Lots of silly songs, dancing, simple plot, etc. Definitely a kids movie

Sort of like TeleTubbies on acid. :-)

    The Oogieloves

This indy movie rivals Barney and Sesame Street. It has a great look and tempo. Kids and Adults are meaningfully engaged. Viselman strikes the imagination of pre-schoolers. This trilogy has real legs.

My 11 year old has seen it twice and loved it!

Interactive movies are here to stay. 3D and interactive are a great fit and will entertain the family.

Don't listen to the snooty critics. This movie is great for families.

I am absolutely horrified by the critical reviews of this film. We're not talking about an Academy Award contender. This movie is aged appropriate for young kids and a welcome relief from all the supposedly family films that scare the heck out of my two girls. We had a ball at this movie, and I highly recommend it. No scares. Nothing inappropriate. I really hope more Moms get behind the Oogieloves, because I for one would like to see a lot more G-rated movies for my girls. Very happy to give this movie my highest recommendation for families.

The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Advaneture

I am a grandmother, and I loved this movie! The movie should appeal to both the pre-school crowd and the older, educated group including parents and grandparents. It reinforces teachings about shapes and polite greetings, etc. It also presents a powerful teaching on where love can be found by having the search for love balloons lead the Oogieloves to characters who represent minorities. There is a square teenager, a dotty, old grandmother, a kind and generous businessman with a tic, an Africa-American with allergies, a man with slight Down Syndrome tendencies, and a Spanish couple, one of whom was elderly and not able to speak well. A parrot in one episode was said to be lactose intolerant!

More than just a movie. A wonderful experience.

I just spent a wonderful two hours with my six year old twins at the Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure. They loved this movie so much, and the three of us danced and clapped and sang together. What a sweet film and absolutely undeserving of all the negative press it's getting. I wonder how many of the critics have young kids. Parents of young ones need to speak up in support of the Oogieloves. Terrific family movie!

From the Mouths of Babes - Total Win!

    by

The best review I've heard of the Oogieloves was from the 18 month old niece of a friend of mine. I have no little ones of my own, and this little one loves to sing and dance, so we thought this might be fun. She had a riot! And her review? When the movie was over she sat through the credits bouncing in her seat along with the credits music, then when it was over she looked to us and said, "More?" After being told it was all done and there was no more, she frowned for a second, then brightened and happily exclaimed, "AGAIN!" What else do you need to know. :) It was loads of fun to watch the kiddos laugh and sing and dance around. They were so into it! And Moms and Dads, if you're worried your little one won't be able to sit through a whole feature length movie, ours barely makes it through a half hour cartoon, but every time she started to get squirrely it was time to get up and dance again. Also, it was nice to have a kids movie with completely no agenda, it's not pushing anything.

    Great film for my kids.

Bottom line: My kids loved this flick. Two and a half year old girl and six year old boy. My wife and I watched them most of the time cuz they were having so much fun. The movies definitely not made for adults, but neither is most of the stuff we get stuck doing with our kids. My kids had a blast and that's what matters. Good job Oogieloves.

2 Grandmas say 2 Thumbs Way Up!

My friend and I took our grandkids (5 of them) to see the Oogieloves, and I'm not sure who enjoyed it the most. Very sweet and innocent movie for your kids, and their grandmothers I guess too. I didn't dance much, but four of the five kids did. And my friend, but she's wild like that. We had so much fun at the Oogieloves. I hope it's very successful. Thank you.

Go! Your Kids Will Love it!

    by

Our family LOVED The Oogieloves! As a former teacher of 20 years this Rated G movie was one of the most refreshing movies I have seen in a long time. The audience LOVED it, too! Ask me how I know...because everyone was on their feet clapping, dancing, and smiling! This interactive film is great for the little ones and gets the whole family playing along with each other. Go see it! You won't regret it!! :)
