Liked but I could have written better parts

The Mike Banning character was written well. General Cleggs was written by someone who doesn't know anything about professionalism and what the military is all about. Definitely too old to be active duty. Didn't act like any officer of that rank would. He acted like the president was what he swore to uphold not the Constitution. SPOILER: Several of the things the terrorists did didn't make sense, blowing a hole in the fence by 2 suicide type bombers in 1 scene then driving 2 garbage trucks close up to the same area with terrorists inside the back with machine guns in them to mow down the defenders coming out of the building, why not just drive through the fence and onto the lawn? The second wave of defenders just run out of the building without even making sure it was clear? come on! Klegg sends in troops when he knows there r advanced weapons waiting and he says look out for them just as they are being used There were more things like that but overall I liked it

I loved this movie. If you like Action , a good story line, and the good in People you will love this movie. It was action packed rollar coaster ride. I have to say I would see this again and I usually do not say that about movies.. The thought is sobering in this day and times things like this do happen. I have to say the whole Audience cheered at on point but I don't want to give anything away. Go see it you won't be sorry.

Old-School, Gung-Ho Action

Anyone who appreciates solid, fast-paced action thrillers will love this film. The cast is fantastic and the plot relatively believable, with bits of dark humor to provide relief for the relentless action, which begins with an intense and clever attack scene which hits the audience like a roller coaster on the highest drop. This is the story of a hero's redemption and a country's satisfying revenge on terrorists who hope to take it down. Mike Banning, whose career as a Secret Service agent is nearly derailed by a tragic accident, is played by Gerard Butler in a memorable performance full of fierce, determined grit. He has the intensity and size to be believable in the role, with an air of intellligence that's often missing in many action stars. And with his charming grin and deep-voiced delivery of his lines and quips, we can't help but root for him to annihilate every bad guy in his way to rescuing the president and saving the country. Pure unadulteraded fun!

Great movie from begining to end, great actors. Of course the critics will say it averages (B) movie.. But what the hell do they know, at least not all the time. Its a must see it your self in order to critize. Action pack, kinda upsetting to some but great ending, when most movies arent. Loved it..

Olympus Has Fallen

This is an action movie with emphases on the action [it could have been called 'Die Hard in the White House'] . It was filmed on location in Louisiana . Gerard plays the secret service agent protecting Aaron , the President of the United States . After an accident , Gerard is forced to retire and work at the treasury department [it's near the White House] . Rick plays a Korean that leads an elite enemy force that captures Aaron and the White House [Secret Service code name is Olympus] and makes the usual bad guy demands ['I'll kill the President , unless ...'] . It's up to Gerard to save the day [one man in the right place at the right time] . Morgan plays the Speaker of the House [he becomes acting President in Aaron's absence] and Angela is head of the Secret Service . I really liked it and would buy it on Blu-Ray .
