Luciana (Cristina Prochaska) runs a pottery shop which the local women visit in large numbers. She is reputed to be a witch; however, it is only clear that she has allied herself to the town priest (Venarando Ribeiro) in his fight against the murderous ways of the town mayor (Ednei Giovenazzi), who has already ordered the killing of a poor local man in a land dispute. Luciana's brother Alfonso (Tonico Pereira), however, is a close ally of the mayor, and attempts not only to take over the pottery shop, but to bed his sister into the bargain. ~ Clarke Fountain, Rovi
