Who doesn't love a good magic trick? This movie had me in its grip from beginning to end. It was funny, mind blowing and smart, not common in so many flicks these days. I liked Jesse Eisneberg as Mark Zuckerberg and Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk but now I love them both.
How many times in the last few years have you wished for a sequel? This is the time for me.
Grab your popcorn and soda and settle in but pay attention............

The movie, in general, was good. The magic tricks, the scenery, etc, was good. However, the plot twist at the end was confusing, and it really didn't make any sense. We were left dazed and confused with more questions than answers as we exited the theatre. Judging from the conversations we heard around us, everyone was stumped too. Meh. Wait for it to come out on video.

I really liked this movie. It kept me guessing the whole time and I couldn't figure out the ending. I found it very entertaining. Definitely a must see.

I love the French girl, but her role was poorly tacked on, almost as if it was an afterthought, cheesy and unnecessary. I know it's not suppose to be a credible story, but there was far too much detail just brushed over for my taste. This would be a pretty good made-for-TV movie. Also, I hate when incredibly important details are quickly introduced at the last moment to explain hugely important parts of the plot. Then of course, oh yeah, this guy was somehow responsible for my father's death...
I guess by today's standards (summer blockbuster standards at that) this is an acceptable couple hours of entertainment. I thought it was an interesting idea. Poorly executed, very poorly written, extremely poorly constructed.

I was really, really looking forward to this movie. I mean, they've been pushing advertising for this for months and months. I thought the plot would be on par with the tricks that wowed us in the previews. Not so much. With such a great cast it is inexcusable that this movie is barely watchable.
I felt cheated at the end, and found myself growing more and more frustrated with the focus the movie put on Ruffalo's detective character as the movie dragged on.
I walked out of the theater feeling very let down, and that is a truly rare thing for me. I was so angry at this movie that I created this account and wrote my first ever review. It's not the worst movie ever, and is probably worth a Saturday night on Blu Ray, but there is no reason to pay $10 a ticket to see this now. The only thing that isn't below average about this movie is the cast.
