North Face
This was truly an incredible and beautifully photographed movie. It was a gripping and spellbinding tale which kept you on the edge of your seat.
Although the movie was spoken entirely in German with the English subtitles, I am glad that the producers decided decided not to dub over in English. Otherwise much of the realism of the time, place, and people would have been taken away.
The story was well told with plots inside of plots. Not only was it a tale of harrowing mountain climbers attempting to make history for the first ascent of the Eiger North Face, but a story of true love, passion, and adoration.
The only issue I saw was that some of the subtitles were almost the same color as the background images making it difficult to read sections of the text. This was however, minor as the story told itself.
Truly an remarkable movie, one which any audience will find exciting, and one which I will add to my personal DVD collection once it is available (hopefully).
