Leapin' Lizards!
Leapin' lizards! Loved this movie, especially the scene with the flying lizards. This movie had elements of Robinson Crusoe and Home Alone, along with some comedy and romance. My friend said it reminded her of the old Disney adventure movies. Gerard Butler was wonderful in his roles as the adventurer and the dad...and who knew Jodi Foster could be funny? Abigail Breslin lights up the screen in whatever movie she is in. Sometimes pieces of the story didn't make sense, even as fantasy (for example, if someone has been at sea for days, fighting to survive, they're probably not going to be able to energetically leap onto shore in perfect health), but hey, it's only a movie so I was forgiving. There was a lot of product placement (Purell, Progresso soup, Random House, etc.) which was a little distracting, but I guess they've gotta finance the picture somehow. I'm over 50, my friend is over 40, her daughter is a teenager, and the three of us enjoyed this movie very much.
