I saw part of this movie. It was so-so. I think somebody else opposite Diane Lane other than Richard Gere would have been better. It's okay if it's free to watch or there's nothing else on but I wouldn't spend any money on it. It didn't really keep my attention.
Diane Lane and Richard Gere are great as usual. The film is nice but really sad at times. More of a film for the 40 something crowd. Younger people might find it slow.
It is hard to make a great book into a good movies. Diane Lane and Richard Gere did a good job and the tears still flowed but read the book.
I hated the ending. But the movie was still good. Richard Gere is still hotttttt. Why do they have to kill people of fin movies who don't deserve to die the way they do??
I waited for this movie to come out on dvd because I heard the book was better, and it was.. but it was still a touching love story that made me cry (because I am a woman). I thought the book ended it better but I would buy it.
