Great tasteful, classic love story

Although this movie was fairly predictabe, (there is a twist at the end), I thought is was a very moving love story. I also thought the age of the characters makes it especially worth seeing. So often hollywood love stories have characters in them that are 20'ish, Honestly, too young to know much of anything about real love-- lust yes--real love...no. It was refreshing to see the portrayal of characters over forty that are still vibrant and seeking what we all want...true love. Also, watching Richard Gere for a couple of hours is certainly no punishment!

it just was not a good movie. It was very unrealistic. Wait until its free on HBO, not worth the $9.00.

This movie was nothing more than a Kleenex tissue advertisement. The book was soo much better. Just because you put two stars together doesn't mean that the viewer will feel any chemistry. It just didn't happen this time.

The movie was slow moving at times. Diane Lane did a good job with her character and Richard Gere is easy on the eyes! I did not like the ending at all. Not very uplifting.

It was very touching and heartwarming. The hurricane scene was a little dorky, not like a real hurricane at all. I love Richard Gere and thought his character fit him well. Would recommend.
