    Nights in Rodanthe

    by ttolin1

Movie was unrealistic, the house would have collasped, the people would have died and disappeared, apparently the people in Hollywood don't watch the weather channel. I could not get into the movie and root for two characters who were still married but not to each other and what a burden the mother put on the daughter, the movie did not make me weepy or sad for the couple just angry that I spent so much money for a junky movie!

    Nights in Rodanthe...Well Done!

It was all I could do not to sob out loud! I mean seriously sob!
Every emotion these characters went thru, I went thru. The storm scene made me feel like I was in the house with them. Can't say too much more...I don't want to give away too much!
Very enjoyable movie with great actors and even some nice scenery!
Sit back and just be entertained!
    PS. Bring the tissue!

    Another brilliant Nicholas Sparks adaption

I saw this movie with my mom who is a huge Nicholas Sparks fan. I'm only 13 but I loved this movie. It was romantic and had a great story line. It was a good chick flick. In the end everyone was crying in the theater, including me. It was very touching and the drama was full on. If you're in the mood for a good romance then I suggest Nights in Rodanthe. The performances were all great and it was just a great movie.

    Torn?

Seriously I'm not really a big fan of Nicholas Sparks because his story always associates with people dying (breaks my heart). It depraves me of happy ending, that's just my point of view why I can't stand most of his story. Anyway upon learning that Gere and Lane starred in this film, though I was quite hesitant, I gave this one a try with more enthusiasm than I have expected (I'm a Gere & Lane fan since I was 9 [thanks Cotton Club]).

So why I gave it a "Go" instead of "Must Go"? Like what I have said when I read the book, I found that Paul and Adrienne's love story was hurried that made me doubt if it was-indeed-an ever lasting love. I wish Paul stayed not only for 5 days I wish it could have been a week or two just so I would see how their attraction evolved.

Well aside from that I found it very romantic and I really think that adults will mostly relate to this than teenagers. Wonder about actors portrayal? Gere and Lane... WOW they're just wow.

    Nights in Rodanthe

Richard Gere and Diane Lane are wonderful together. Absolutely everyone should hold out for the love of a person who makes you believe anything is possible. Nights in Rodanthe made me believe.

If you love Nicholas Sparks books, this is a must see. Richard Gere and Diane Lane, how can you go wrong. I saw it with my daughter. Decidedly a chick flick, but I think my husband would have liked it anyway!

    Love Love love this movie

    by

Every thing about this movie was great. The storyline the setting. It took me back to my Trip with my mom and boyfriend to cape may NJ. Love the beach. Rodamthe is one of many places that my boyfirend Travis wants to retier to someday. With Seeking this movie I can understand why. I hope that dream for us will come true. The beach setting makes a great love story of the ocean lots of heart. I hope to meet this auther someday. He's one of my favorite wrighters. So this movie is well done and thought out. Don't take my word for it. Go see it for yourself. I'm planning on going to see it again this weekend. Hope to see you there and enjoy life at the movies.

Bring a box of tissues !

    by toni816

Where do I begin ? I haven't cried that much in forever. It was a great FANTASY, I had to keep reminding myself of that. At this point, I wish I had waited to see it on DVD at home where I could have sobbed openly. It was a painful experience to sit in the theater trying not to breakdown in front of the other viewers. I felt that Diane Lane's performance was weak until she opened the door & found his son on her front porch. At that point, I wanted the movie to be over. After that, I kept saying "please let this be over, I can't take anymore". It was devastating & still bothers me now, two days later. Richard Gere is something else ! He became the perfect man, & then reality set in. I loved this movie but the amount of pain & tears it cost me was substantial. If you want to experience the pain of losing a dream, then I would recommend seeing this film, if not save yourself the agony & skip it.

The Movie Does The Book Justice

I read the book before I saw it and the pertinent plot points and even the dialog are all there. It was quite teh accurate portrayal of the book it was based on. Usually a movie adaptation of a book is a disappointment; Nights In Rodanthe was a beautiful telling of it. Diane Lane, you even had this Marine smitten!

    Disappointed with Rodanthe

I absolutely love Richard Gere. He's great in any movie he does. Diane Lane is always very good too. I went into this movie expecting a great happy, timeless love story. The story line had great potential and was (-eh-) pretty good, but where it could have been great- I found it turned into a major disappointment and let down. Better have some tissues. Not what I expected it to be. Not worth skipping but definitely wait for the DVD. If nothing else, the scenery was beautiful and, as always, so is Gere.

    Made me cry...

It's a great movie. It's more like the book, but of course, the book is always better than the movie.
My friends and I enjoyed it a lot.
