I love the opportunity to see shows like this, and the interview with Helen Mirren was insightful. I especially liked the comparison of this performance to any portrait of the queen, as much interpretation by the artist as fact about the subject.

The presentation was fantastic and we look forward to viewing as much theater as you can provide...There is one issue that we would like to address: The advertising was dismal...We only became aware of the performance because of a friend who in passing mentioned it...If you wish to increase your audience, find a way to get the word out...

What a gift! Helen Mirren is one of the most talented actresses of our time. Thank you National Theatre Live for proving those who don't live or travel to London or NYC the opportunity to enjoy wonderful theater.

I totally enjoyed watching the National Theatre's live broadcast of "The Audience" at AMC's Neshaminy Theater. I love Helen Mirren and her performance was perfection. Her resemblance to the Queen was incredible. The play was very interesting as well as entertaining, especially hearing the reaction of the London audience and feeling like I was in the theater with them. Ms. Mirren and the rest of the cast were wonderful and her interview with the Director at the end of the performance was very informative and enjoyable. I look forward to seeing other such productions at local theaters.

Whether or not you have any knowledge of British history, this is a thoroughly enjoyable film of a live stage production. I wish they had filmed the costume changes, which take place on stage, and are an important part of the production. There is no exciting story, here, just a series of meetings between the Queen and her various prime ministers, but it flips back and forth in time, and the dialogue is witty and clever, and the performances excellent. If you can't see it on stage, this is the next best thing.
