From the previews this was a movie I thought I wouldn't like , boy was I wrong ! This movie involves a mother who is trying to hold down a farm while her husbands off to war , a despicable villain , kids who have to learn responsibility and respect and of course Nanny Mcphee who sees that everything turns out all right. It was interesting to watch the kids face one challenge after the other until they solve the big one . The villain and the fate of the MIA husband adds plenty of pathos to the story . This movie is humorous at times , tasteful , and of course you'll never forget Nanny McPhee ! All the characters are cast perfectly . I didn't see the first one , but I don't see how it could of been any better than this. This is a great family movie and sends a positive message to kids . If you need a lift this is a good one to go see. Thumbs up !

I loved the movie! It was just as good as the first, but in different ways. I liked that the story line was different. There was also more magic in this movie than the last. And if you have seen the first Nanny McPhee, then the ending of the second will be a real tear jerker. I loved Maggie Gyllenhaal as Isabel Green. I believed her character and I couldn't imagine anyone else playing her part. I love the role of Maggie Smith as Mrs. Docherty. She brought a lot of comedy to the film. I am 25 years old and LOVED the movie. This movie is good for all ages!

I LOVED this movie and will try to implement some of her ideas in our life at home.... (Is that stealing?) we have 3 kids! Can we hire Nanny McPhee? LOVE! LOVE! LOVED it.... even cried at the end! The kids thought it was great too!

I loved this movie! It may be for kids (mine were a bit young to appreciate it)....as it taught lessons, yet had enough going on to keep the adults gripped along with magic and fairy tales - which we all need from time to time.

What a wonderful surprise; however, Emma Thompson would not put her name on anything that wasn't top rate! I would even see this one again in the theater. My child and her friend thought it was great, too. I highly recommend this movie.
