I went to see this movie the other night and paid the extra to see it in 3D even. I knew this movie was going to be a little predictable, you have to expect that with this kind of film. But i thought I would at least enjoy it. WRONG. there were a couple moments during the movie where i found myself spacing out wondering how much longer i had to go before it was over. the 3d effects were interesting but nothing that made me jump out of my seat. If you have a simple mind and money to burn please go see this movie.

This movie will definetely not stick out in Wes's career. Decent storyline, but not great. The acting to me was just average and I didn't really like any of the characters. At least in the Scream movies you go really into their lives and that just wasn't the case for this. Not to give anything away but the title didn't really fit the movie. Nightmare on elm street and scream, perfect titles. Not this though. This just like most of his other movies are not for kids, more for the men than women. Honestly I was disappointed. It wasn't as bad as the original last house on the left which i absolutely hated but this was ok. This was going down that road. I hoped the ending was better but that didnt happen. For Wes Craven and horror fans I say wait and rent honestly. For everyone else I say skip it, or if your curious wait until its on Showtime or HBO and watch it then. Not amazing or even good, just ok. Set your expectations low. I would give this movie a 6 out of 10. And I'm a horror fan.

Having never seen the trailer but knowing it was a Wes Craven movie, I thoroughly enjoyed My Soul to Take. The acting is fair but the premise is at least fairly original. It is definently not a horror film as much as a thriller with a little blood. I saw it in 3D and enjoyed that aspect but would not recommended the extra charge. Wee it in 2d instead. All in all a decent evening at the movies.

dont waste the money to see this movie in theaters, wait till DVD then even thats a strecth. very disappointed with wes craven, i was expecting a good movie, but was not impressed. onc ethe movie started 3-d graphics were good, but movie plot boring to make a plot where seven teenagers are born on the sameday as a murderer with multiple personalities who is seeking revenge and killing them all, was lame. then to twist it by making one of the seven the killers could hav been better. sorry wes i like your other movies but i think your nightmares are not as scary as they used to be.

This may just be one of the worst "horror" movies I can recall ever suffering through. If I wasn't so attached to the $10 I wasted just for the ticket, I would've walked out. I'm a huge horror movie fan... this was just laughably bad. I have no idea what made this a rated R movie.... the language? Cuz the third-rate acting, bad directing, and unconvincing-everything-about-this-movie was not in the least bit deserving of a rated R. I'm half tempted to throw the creepy remake of Willy Wonka into the DVD player just so I know what it feels like to be disturbed by a movie. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the recent remake of Nightmare on Elm Street was better than this - and here I thought THAT movie sucked. Come on Hollywood... you can do better!
