    Are you friggin kidding me?

If you've read the book, you will HATE the movie. Beside not developing the characters, they also left out a major one, and altered the ending, so it is not even the same as the book.
I understand having to leave some parts, and pieces out so you don't end up with a 5 hour movie, but to change the ending in such a way that it doesn't even come close to the book. You might as well call it a different movie. I was so disappointed in this movie, felt ripped off. The writer, director, anyone involved in this project should be ashamed.

    My Sisters Keeper

    by sweet potatoe15

Such a true type move on the battle of cancer...sad,heart warming, compassion, and the struggles over the battle to the end...I've been there with a father dieing of cancer and sister lately with the cancer fight. My other sister has beat hers so far with removing of her breasts...so true to life type movie..
It was well played by all in the movie...my heart goes out to anyone fighting the battle of cancer. God Bless

    NOTHING like the book!

From the character casting to location to the ending, this movie was awful. In the book, Anna's brother Jesse is a rebel who's constantly getting into trouble. Campbell (the attorney) was a major jerk only in it to become more popular. They completely left out Anna's guardian at litem, Julia Romano (who was a major character in the book). Judge DeSalvo was a man. The book took place in Rhode Island, not LA. And the ending was completely wrong!!! In the book, Campbell has a seizure while driving Anna somewhere & they get into a bad car accident. She is put on life support while her organs are harvested. Her sister, Kate, receives a kidney from her & goes on to live another healthy 8 years. Anna dies. Jesse becomes a cop, not an artist.

Other than that, the rest of the movie is hard to follow. My husband had not read the book & couldn't understand the constant going back in time. I would not see it again. Left me feeling depressed. Good thing my ticket was only $1.00.
