    What did you really expect?

I went and saw this movie today because i work at a movie theatre so i was able to see this for FREE. It is the type of movie that i wouldnt pay for. It has some bad acting in it and just not that amazing to me. It def. is a movie for couples but it really isnt worth $10 of your money, good thing i can see movies for free or i wouldnt of seen it. If you get a chance, see it in 3D, i saw it in 2D, but im sure it is much better in 3D and being in the action. It was so-so for me.

    My Bloody Valentine...

    by tratie

Ok..I am 32 years old and I have seen the original. This is by no means equal to or better than that in any way. The 3D aspect of this film in no way replaces the horrible acting, dismal plot, and pathetic attempt at humorous nudity. Jaime or "James" King needs to return to modeling and the rest of the cast to Dawson's Creek. I never realized that you could so easily jump ten years by growing facial hair, letting down ponytails, and repeating, "well I guess ten years is a long time" until someone believes it. Well I don't believe how bad this is and I give it two huge thumbs down.....This movie is why I don't like going to theaters and prefer my wonderful Netflix. Next time someone attempts a remake like this, please just put it on MTV where it belongs, along with Carmen a hipopera.

    Fun Date Movie

Pretty gory but very entertaining, espeically with the 3D glasses! I don't think it'd be worth seeing this without 3D, so make sure your theater is actually playing it the way it's supposed to be seen. Not too scary, with a few spots that make you jump and scream...perfect for a date.

Best 3-D in a long time!

    by NATO74

I was thinking here we go with another red/green glasses fake 3d movie but I was wrong! It really looked like the pick axe was going to hit you right in the head!! Being in my 30's I still say "IT WAS SO COOL!!!!!" Give it a try!

    Greater Slasher movie

    by Stud22

This was overall a great movie. Although it started out alittle shakey, once it got to some plot, it had me hooked. The ending was the best part of the movie by far. It made the movie. This is a must see for all slasher film fanatics.

    My Bloody Valentine

Well....at this location (Alameda Ave., 80017), they didn't receive the "equipment" for the 3D effect, which is why I wanted to see this kind of movie in the theatres. They didn't mention that this "equipment" wouldn't be available at this location, so to me, that was a misleading purchase when it was supposed to be in 3D. I don't get out to the movies often at all, so this was very disappointing. Very predictable as well!

    Terrible; completely terrible.

    by rwflx3

Not only did my state falsely advertise the "3D" part of this movie, but the movie itself was junk. When I came into the theater I had bought my tickets early and was very excited. My excitement was quickly killed when I saw the sign that told me only two theaters in ALL of Ohio and the one I was at wasn't one of them. The movie itself was a joke, with a five minute murder scene of a naked, terrible actress being the highlight of the movie when she finally dies. Even if I did see this in 3D I would still rate it an "OH NO!". A waste of $10 a ticket and my life.

    My Bloody Valentine

I was very disappointed to arrive at the theater and be informed that the theater I purchased the tickets to was not showing this movie in 3D !! I requested a refund and was not allowed because I had purchased the tickets on Fandango. The whole purpose of seeing the movie was to see the effects and now I couldnt experience it. The theater was empty, 5 total customers including myself and my date. The movie itself was not bad, Im sure the effects added a great deal to the whole experience. It kept you guessing till the end yet had the predictable horror plots, bad girls get killed, nerds do better jocks get the worst mutilation. All in all I would rate it a B if the effects were there it could be a B+ . Decent story, not verry scarry, no edge of your seat scenes, no terror no real suspence. Make your own decesion but I highly recommend you call ahead and confirm it willl be in 3D.....Enjoy

    Really enjoyed it.

I really liked it and thought it would only be enhanced by seeing it in a 3-D theater. It kept me entertained with a plot that was more involved than most horror flicks tend to be.

    Good Slasher Flick

    by

Right off the bat, My Bloody Valentine establishes the fact that it is going to be a slasher flick, nothing more, nothing less. We as the audience see this in the first few scenes after the introduction, the villain is revealed, the back-story is shown, and of course, the film?s gore and viscera already spills out onto the screen. There isn?t anything special regards to this film, it bring nothing new to the ?run away from the bad man? style of horror, but that is what makes this movie so entertaining, it knows what it is, and it does what it is supposed to do well.

As someone who is a veteran to these sorts of movies (I have been watching slashers since the age of 7), the film does not offer much in anything new and exciting. Some of the gruesome methods of killing in this film are still shocking and make anyone cheer for the fact they are getting a bang for their buck. I found myself wanting to see the killer in every scene and finding myself smiling each time he appeared.
