So many of us are isolated from the realities of war and the daily challenges our military personnel endure. It was inspiring to see how a regular kid from "everyday America" drove himself so hard to become a Navy Seal and then bravely faced an unfathomable situation with courage, selflessness and honor. Very well done Mr. Mactavish!

Awesome and Inspiring!

We took our 12 year old son to see this movie and he loved it, as did my husband and myself!! It was great to see a TRUE HERO celebrated, giving our son someone to look up to that we would actually want him to emulate, as opposed to the superficial "heroes" of the entertainment and sports industries. CS Lewis, the great British theological and intellectual, wrote when describing how to judge a "good book", that a good book (or movie, in this case) can be a deep, profound, experience, "an experience so momentous that only experiences of love, religion, or bereavement can furnish a standard of comparison. Their (the reader's) whole consciousness is changed." By Lewis's definitiion, "Murph: The Protector" is definitely a "good book". Whoever goes will be forever changed for the better!

Humbled & Inspired

This documentary spoke to the inner patriot. It reminded me of what being an American is all about. Unselfish dedication, unparalleled commitment and inspiring actions all overflowed from the story of Lt. Michael Murphy. If you find yourself complaining, complacent, unhappy, drowning in sorrow, go see this movie. It will reignite passion and focus in your soul. This movie made me as proud to be an American man as I ever have been. I was truly humbled and inspired more while I sat and listened to this story, than I have in many other situations. I strongly recommend going to see this movie. If being an American means anything at all to you, you MUST watch this film.

It made me proud to be an American. These brave men/women are to be commended. They fight and DIE for the freedoms most Americans take for granted. Tears of sorrow for the families were shed by my husband and me. We wanted to stand up and sing God Bless America. We felt Proud for what Murph gave and others like him everyday. Freedom is not free. I'm afraid some of out citizens feel it is....but it is slowly stolen while we live our daily lives.

A moving tribute to an American hero, who selflessly gave his life in order to save his fellow Seals. It is people like this that allows us to go to work ,shop go to the movies and live our lives as we see fit. These are the honorable humans that we need to look up to and thank on a daily basis, for their sacrifice. Thank You
