I grew up watching the Muppets (I'm 35) and haven't watched a muppet's since I was much younger. My 5 yr old wanted me to take her to see this movie. We don't go see many movies, since this wasn't your typical movie I decided it was worth taking her to. We were not disappointed at all, she said it was a little hard to follow, she kept getting Constantine and Kermit confused, she is a very bright 5 yr old, super smart and was able to keep up for the most part. We both enjoyed the singing and wittiness! Tina Fey rocker it!

The story line was a bit hard for my 5 yr old to follow. She had a lot of questions about why there were two Kermits. Why was one bad? Why did he talk funny? Why were they stealing and breaking into places and destroying property etc She was bored within the first 10 minutes. She asked repeatedly if it was almost over. It was a bit violent for a small child. The prison scenes were a bit dark, and the musical scenes were just so-so. The frat party scene was funny but, I not in the best taste for young children. So, I can't say it's the best movie for a younger child but, maybe for a 7-8 yr old. Some of the humor was over a small child's head. My doughter did get a few laughs, and she enjoyed the previews and the popcorn and Icee. I have always loved the Muppets but, not this movie.

I took my daughter to see this over the weekend and this was hard to watch. The singing was off for the most part and it was hardly funny. They missed the mark WIDE with this one. Not every movie needs a sequel (they even sung a song about it) and while Jason Segel's reboot was surprisingly good, unsurprisingly this was not.
It kills me to write this since I have loved the Muppets since I was young and watched them every Saturday evening. This movie has no heart, it has no spirit..essentially it's a Muppet move because it has the Muppets in it rather than being about the Muppets. If you do go, please review the movie. Let the studios know that they've done a disservice to the Muppets in a way that "Kermit's Swamp Years" only had previously.

If you like the Muppets you must see this one. They have once again captured the whimsy and joy that is the Muppets universe. Lots of fun cameos and a great caper/heist plot line!

Only escapism is all. Frogs, bears, and everything else one expects from such a movie. For some reason, I enjoy them immensely. The humor of the TV show still infuses the movies and you get "throw back" scenes from the earlier days and movies. You don't have to see the older shows to enjoy. My daughter goes tentatively but ends up laughing and remembering each one.
