I took my great-granddaughter on Saturday, march 8th. I remember Peabody and Sherman from the old Rocky and Bullwinkle show. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. There were quite a few references that were made for the adults in the audience. My granddaughter laughed all through it and I must admit, I laughed as well. It was very well written and enjoyable for kids of all ages. Go see it- you won't be disappointed.

I was really looking forward to this movie - really - but was massively disappointed. This film was very misogynistic and my husband thought so, too. Too much like a ride and not enough like a film. Story fell apart towards the end - got sloppy. I did enjoy the time travel wormhole animation and it's clear they put a lot of effort into many aspects of the movie, but this draft needs a major re-write and oversight by someone who actually likes females.

Great for Kids; Fun for Adults

I loved "Mr. Peabody's Improbable History" in the good old Rocky/Bullwinkle days, so I watched this movie with a more than a little nostalgia. The plot started a little slowly, but the fun built and built as the movie went on. The good guys were great, predictably offset by a meanie you'll love to hate. There was a great deal of moral value in this movie for kids (and adults). This movie has something for kids of every age. It is one of those films that you leave with a good, uplifting feeling. No blood, guts and gratuitous violence, no foul language or sexual content, just good, clean, family entertainment. I highly recommend it.

My Six Year Old Loved It

It's good for kids, although the historical references are lost on them. As an adult that loved the original shorts, there was something about it that just did not seem right. Might be my nostalgia, but I thought it was a little tedious and stupid at times. There were some funny moments, but story is not engaging in the way that many recent animated films have been. I think the plot was basically throwing things against the wall, seeing what stuck, then piecing them together. Overall, I thought they did a great job with the 3D, with not much of the stupid finger coming at you, but more of the natural depths in landscapes, etc. The story is just there. Not enough to engage an adult or teenager, but enough to entertain primary and probably middle school kids.
