    The Big Year = The Big Let Down...

    With the cast of The Big Year, I had big expectations. Unfortunately the expectations were not met. I found this movie to be disappointing and hardly funny considering the actors, who usually provide big laughs. The positive is there is a great life lesson in the movie, this was it's saving grace.

    The Big Year review

    Don't think of this as a slapstick comedy (which is what I thought it would be considering the cast). This is more of a movie with a life lesson. In this age of reality TV and more violence and sex than Afghanistan...well violence anyway...its good to see a movie that doesn't have to go that route to work. I like the way the three characters interact with one another and learn that their's more to life than their obsessions, whether they acknowledge it or not. You're not going to see groin shots and pies in the face with this one. What you are going to see is a year in the life and the lessons learned. I just wish I'd seen it earlier. This is a great movie.

    Booorrrringgg..... Can't believe the bigwigs thought a movie about a birding contest would be interesting. We left early and got our money back!
