    Rocky - reinvented

My husband is a HUGE Rocky fan, and he also likes to watch MMA fighting. The movie was a great combination of both worlds! The movie was very well put together, the acting, the graphics, the story-line. Because this is MMA fighting and not regular boxing, I would suggest it to mature audiences only.

Would I go see it again? Absolutely! Do I recommend it? Definitely!

Good Show.. too bad previews ruin movies

    by Dpfan73

Studios previews fail to entice w/o revealing too much detail about movies, despite this fact Warrior is a good movie. Oscar worthy not sure...but appealing to MMA fans and non-MMA fans alike. A good gritty tale about working class guys that have heart and determination. One brother is a teacher with money troubles due to things beyond his control, a Rich Franklin like character, and the other is a complex younger brother with issues. Both actors do a great job displaying emotions rather than saying them which is very true to the blue collar PA persona. A couple of the fight scene maneuvers are a little over the top but entertaining even for a MMA fans. Nolte does a good job as the drunk turned sober father. Jennifer Morrison plays the older brothers wife. She does a fantastic job but will surely be over looked come award time. She really captures the northeast PA spouse/mom. This is a definite must see good mix of drama and action.

Finally an MMA based movie intended for people with an IQ

    by

I am a huge fan of sports movies. My favorites of course are the classics: Hoosiers, Rudy, The Natural to name a few. While Warrior may not quite reach to that same level, it does a fine job trying.

After painfully sitting through "Never Back Down", and "Fighting", I was so relieved that these movie had characters with real lives, real struggles, and real mma fight sequences.

In short, anyone will enjoy this movie, in fact, it may not appeal to the "Tapout" T-shirt wearing crowd as much as the everyday moviegoer.
