    A Must See

There wasn't quite as much action as I had expected, but the message that the movie delivers is a Must See, especially for young adults. It should scare the pants off any young adult or teenager about the seriousness of dealing in drugs.
The movie itself was a little slow at times, but overall it was decent, and The Rock did a pretty creditable acting job.
There was some language and violence, but no gore, sex or nudity, so it is ok even for young teens.

    Superb true base Movie

    by

Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock is an excellent actor in the true base story who take on the Cartel to save his son years in prison. Plus he looks GOOD. Writing did not make sense at times ...examples are: The shooting in the yard not sure if rival gang or test. Cops were called to gun fire but next scene showed all bodies being buried in large grave. Truck chase scene was an A+. Overall I enjoyed the movie.

    Good to see

Good movie to watch. Doesn't have the type of language and violence that a lot of movies have. But don't be fooled this movie isn't all clean and pretty. It shows the horrible side of drugs and how drugs can destroy your life your friends and most of all your family.
I am glad I watched this movie.

Better than I thought it would be

I am so used to the standard "Rock" movies that this came as a surprise, it wasn't all about the fighting a tough guy kick butt movies he is usually associated with. Being that the Movie is based on true events even made it better.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson ~ Daddy goes to Work!

I loved this because it was based on true events and had a pretty jarring message. I love Dwayne Johnson in general, but I don't think he's ever gonna be an Oscar winner for his acting. Great role model though, and great to look at!

    Solidly Entertaining, End To End.

The Rock tries VERY hard never to disappoint his audience and this movie is a fine example of that effort. Yes, it's a formula flick like so many others nowadays, but it's still very entertaining. At least it's not one more remake of some tired old franchise those square-headed bean counter in corporate Hollywood churn out regularly, like clockwork. If you're tired of remakes of remakes, over produced superhero franchises and potty-mouthed rom-coms passed around like they're actually funny, then you'll find fresh air in this formula, even if you leave feeling like you?ve been there, done that. This is a play well written and very well executed. No, it's not a blockbuster. It's just a good old fashioned "good movie." See it. You won't be disappointed.

    "Snitch".....don't be one

This weeks listing seemed to have nothing I was really drawn to but being a movie going addict..I had to chose something. Snitch had been out a while so what the heck. I was very much surprised. For one, the story was based somewhat on a true story. It also had a social commentary message about our current drug laws and their impact on ordinary citizens, and on those in the drug culture. The drama begins to build as more and more are drawn into this world of the drug wars. No one is left un touched, all are at risk and you leave feeling, even after they supposedly solve the crises, is anyone really safe. In the midst of all the turmoil, violence, the story is also about the younger son teaching his dad about true courage. This was not a wasted movie going trip. All movies don' t have to be great to be good, even very good.

    Totally Awesome!!

    by

My daughter and I went to see Snitch, but we didn't know how much of a treat we were in for- We already knew it was going to be good, but wow! Dwayne is such a wonderful actor. I was so caught up in the movie. This movie really hit home. Being a parent, I felt every tear he shed on the screen and applaud any parent who does what they have to do to save/protect their child. Kudos.

    Keep an open mind

Well, full disclaimer up front. I only went to this movie because my Mom has a massive thing for The Rock. We must see everything that he is in, even if it's only a cameo. That means, I'll be seeing a movie with him in it for the next 3 months!!
Anyway, I had read the reviews that came out in the Friday paper and wasn't expecting very much. While Dwayne won't be winning any acting nominations or awards for this one, the movie was passable. Lots of action. It did drag quite a bit in several spots and there were a few moments when you rolled your eyes and had to just go with the premise.
That being said, it's a very entertaining and sometimes suspenseful way to kill a couple of hours. You should walk away being fairly entertained.

    Not Typical

    by

It isn't your typical Rock movie... but it was good. If you pretend for a moment that it is possible for a dude to step in his son's place... and that he could pass off that he could get in good with the bad element... and that he could move up the latter so fast.. and that the drug lords wouldn't be able to sniff out his intentions.... etc. etc... it was a good movie. I give kudos to Rock for playing a different kind of character and the other actors did a fantastic job in their respective roles. All-in-all, I say go.

    Emotionally Powerfuly Story!

You know I always like these kinds of movies, mostly when there inspired by true events, great role play by all the characters in the movie,....requires lots of patience however, because I was expecting a lot of gun violence and shooting by law enforcement, but this movie was just the right kind of film for people like myself. I really loved this movie, I thought it was going to be rated R, but surprisingly it was rated PG-13. This movie almost brought tears to my eyes near the end, sometimes shy people have to hold back themselves, because I hate crying, it causes headaches as symptoms. This movie also reminds all of humanity, that when you get involved in drugs, money, and act in a criminal way, the prices of it are very heavy. You know the saying goes, "if you cant do the time, dont commit the crime." Great movie after all, really enjoyed it. Very powerful and well done! Enjoy, worth the money!

Dewayne "Rock" Johnson does not let you down.

    by

I enjoyed this movie although I expected more action. The story line was a really good one. It truly shows how a parents love will go to the ends of the earth for their child. Good job!!!

    Surprisingly good movie!

We went to see this movie mainly for my husband because he likes the Rock and of course, we can only go to manly movies and I went into it with semi-low expectations and boy was I surprised! The Rock was very good! A normal but very in shape Dad who is just trying to save his son! He takes his hard knocks, he gets scared and he gets vulnerable. The kid plays an awesome part and one of the best played parts is the Rocks unwilling partner in crime. The casting is dead-on. The script does a very good job and keeping you on the edge of your seat till the very end! We both left the theater saying it was one of the best movies we have seen in a while. I will never doubt the Rock again!!

    SNITCH

Snitch is an exciting and simple thriller that once again proves to me that Dwayne Johnson is a capable and strong lead actor. This movie executes two missions: A) to entertain us; and B) to put some big exclamation points on a couple of messages about certain drug laws in this country in need of a thorough re-examination.
