    Doesnt Disappoint!

Ive read reviews giving this movie an A+, I dont rate it that high, but its still a fantastic movie! The plot is pretty straight forward and you'll figure out who the real villain in is within the first 15-20 min of the movie or so, but that doesnt matter as this movie is all about the non-stop action and the dynamic relationship between or two co-stars! There are amazing fight scenes in this movie that, although not as good, are on par with those from the Bourne series. Denzel once again proves that he is as smooth at weilding a gun as silk on an Italain in an Atlantic City casino! Ryan Reynolds' character is spoon fed along the way while a veteran Tobin Frost (Washington) tries to school the young rookie on the way the world works a la Training Day. The whole cat/mouse game between the two is really where the movie is centered and excels as Reynolds' character learns that the world of the CIA has many subtle shades of gray and is not just black and white.

    Action from Scene 1

I enjoyed Safe House because I love action films and I especially love watching Denzel in anything! Pure action from the first take! Ryan Reynolds does a good job in this film also, he showed that he can do more than cute little romance comedies.

    Safe House

I did enjoy the movie although some parts were very predictable. Even though the ending was obvious, I was still hoping for a twist or a better outcome. There are still those of us who are tired of seeing what we perceive as super white man movies. Every time there there are main characters, why is it that the minority one always die or appear to be inferior in some way, but a white guy manages to save the day. I would put this in the same category as Brooklyn's Finest. I do feel that Denzel Washington's performance was superb.

    Ehh

The movie was alright, I expected it to be more intense, more action. It dragged on and the ending was blah i just think for a Denzel movie it couldve been better. I would wait for this movie to be on DVD i would not recommend to go see at the theatre.

Got to GO! Denzel is absolutely amazing

Another smash from Denzel. I love this guy. His death scene is stunning. This is a new type of movie for Reynolds - he's been type cast as a funny guy, but he plays up to the secret agent quite well. Truly captivating.

    Safe House - Safe Bet

This is an action packed thriller that has you jumping around with all the shooting and car chases, but it is supported mightily by the cast in delivering its storyline. Otherwise, this could be a disappointing movie. The plot was a bit thin, but Denzel did a great job as did Ryan Reynolds in making this an enjoyable and entertaining movie. I am not going to get into the story, as it is similar to many other action thrillers, but this is a keeper. Enjoy.

    Safe House

Tremendous. Plan to see it again. Denzel Washington was his usual, a superb actor, drawing out the talents of Ryan Reynolds and other cast members. Reynolds was very, very good. Not used to him being as squemish and insecure, but he played the part very well.

The cinematography paralled Inception, but on a much smaller scale, if only for the motion; how they took you into the excitement.

    Unfortunately, the scenario is believable.

This movie is NOT for children under 18 due to the violence.

The Post critics didn't go to the same movie that we went too.

    Safe House

This movie was AWESOME and definitely didn't disappoint! You can always count on Denzel Washington to "bring it" in an action flick! I was impressed with Ryan Reynolds as well, he did a great job. I always think of him as the guy who does romantic comedies, well he's broken the thought in my mind! We even jumped a few times when the unexpected happened. I can always tell when my hubby likes a movie, because he doesn't fall asleep....lol, and he was wide awake the whole time. So if you are a Denzel fan, I highly recommend that you go see this movie, it won't disappoint!

Acting was good. Lot of plot holes

It wasn't a bad movie, just wasn't great. They needed to spend more time on the plot holes, and character development. Also it was hard to care for the main characters.

    Welcome Back Denzel

Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds compliment each other well. The actions and suspense of the movie were great, but the characters seemed to disconnect towards the end. Denzel's best performance since Training Day. Overall, really good movie. Steve

Play it Safe, dont waste your money on this homemade movie...seen it all before.

Film quality equal to Blair Witch Project/Story on par with Glitter. This was really the worse movie of the new year. When did it become OK to shoot a major motion picture on a iPHone. I wish producers would invest in better films rather than waste the whole budget on over paid actors like Denzil (when was his last good movie...Philadelphia?)
Ryan Renyold may eventually become a good action star, but right now, he's still in the cheesy chick flick category. In stead of being an action hero he comes across as a wining Abacrombie retail wallie. Bad movie.

    Safe House is very good.

Denzel Washington puts out another top shelf movie. Very suspenseful without a million twist and turns. Easy to keep up with what is going on. Recommend.

Spoiler alert - Wonder of there might be a Safe House 2 since they never did acknowledge that he died in the end.

A New Story told about the CIA

    by soulma

Safe House is what I expected with a little bit of it's on flare from Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. At times, I felt like it was moving a little slow, but that could have been that I went to the late show and began to tire. If you're a fan of Denzel Washington I'd go and see it.
