    It was ok, but the ending was terrible!

    It was ok - typical Paranormal Activity film with some creepy, scary parts. The ending really was bad though and ruined the whole thing. Still can't beat Paranormal 1&2. They shouldn't have made more after those. Anyways, if you like the series and can get the matinee pricing, check it out because it was decent until the end.

    Worst suspense/ horror ever

    Did not fail to dissapoint. Three MAYBE four scary parts in the entire movie. Not worth the time or money to go see it. Basically just borrowed everything from previous movies and did a terrible job with everything it took. Spend your money on something else. I would suggest looper or seven psychopaths.

    Not a shocker, but startling.

    I have seen all of the Paranormal Activity movies. The first one scared me for months. I remember walking into my house and hearing noises, feeling like I was about to get what Micah got.

    The Second, was frightening. I enjoyed the continuation of the story line. I also enjoyed the scares as the movie progressed, with the obvious clear definition between good and evil.

    The Third movie... quite frankly sucked. I watched it once, and was so put off by it I almost didn't see this one, ALMOST.

    I am so glad, I didn't let the third movie keep me from this one. This one was fun on a multitude of levels. I found it humorous in parts, while intensely suspenseful in others. The last 10 minutes of this movie are without a doubt edge-of-your-seat-nail-biting-stressful-screaming out for help type of scary. This is not a KIDS movie by any sense of the word, but it definitely was a fun flick. There are whole to the storyline, but for a 4th movie, this one was pretty good.

    Paranormal Activity 4, MUCH better than 3!!

    I am an avid Paranormal fan since the 1st movie. I was hestitant to see 4, after thinking 3 really jumped the shark and was a bit corny. The originality that 1st drew me seemed to be gone, which often happens in any sequels, but in this one- it definately returned!! I dont think this is as good as the 1st, but that may be because back then this was 'new and original" and you didnt know what to expect.
    It was good, the characters good, the storyline more believeable and less corny, and the audience was screaming like crazy! I would definately see it-especially if you are a fan! I will be seeing 5 when it comes out too!

    Like the Others

    If you like the genre enough to keep supporting it, then go. It's no different than the others, and, as usual, all the action happens in the last few minutes. The theater, including myself, was laughing out loud at the "terror" that occurred at the end of the movie. Of course, plenty of loose ends as they are probably making Paranormal 5 as we speak.

    This movie was very slow to start and when it's over you'll have questions that aren't answered. It was a very confusing ending and made absolutely no sense. I loved the first 3 movies but this was a huge disappointment!

    Wait till the end !!

    I wont spoil it for everyone . I am a big fan of these movies. I have to say the 4th chapter is a little different than the others. I heard mixed reviews when I was leaving the theatre but lets put it this way, when it was over I actually heard people cheering and clapping ( in a good way) !! I have never heard that in a movie theatre.

    Paranormal Activity 4: In revivew...

    The scares were really enjoyable & probably the sole reason I'd recommend others to go see it. However, there was too little plot development. The trailers gave the impression that EVERYTHING about this witch cult would be explained, (from overall purpose, role of the teenage blonde, and detailed information about the symbolisms/witch coven). None of that was elaborated upon and it just, vaguely, faded to black. Rating (5 out 10), Scare factor (8.5 out of 10)

    Just like all of the paranormal activities, i really liked how it continues off of the second movie. This movie does have its boring points, but it is definitely a must see movie if you like scary movies

    Bad. Bad. Bad.

    I am a fan of the PA story and the previous 3 movies. I enjoyed how they followed the "less is more" concept, but they dropped the ball on PA4.They tried way too hard to make an impression, and there was more CG crap in this one than the other 3 combined. It was loosely tied-in with the first 2, following the story relativly close. The only good thing about this movie was the ending, because that meant it was over. Save your money. I had a Groupon discount and got a ticket for $4, and that was still too much to pay.

    As in the previous versions, lots of creepy stuff happening in the 4th installment of this franchise. lots of things to make you jump and cringe worthy scenes, although the ending is abrupt, but then again, I think they all were.

    Paranormal Activity 4 Rating

    It is a great continuation of the story. Not as many scares and jumps as the last movies, but still worth the adrenaline rush. The acting was good for an unknown cast. Directing keeps one on "the edge of the seat". Cinematography was clear and kept the hairs on the back of one's neck rising. This is not for young children below the age of 12 years. If you love the paranormal and the build up of suspense, see this movie!

    Waste of time and money.
    I wanted to like it...I really did. But, with a plot that moves slower than molasses and "scares" that are predictable and cliche, I couldn't.

    THE BLOND STAR WAS BEAUTIFUL. THE MOVIE WAS BORING AND DRAGGED-ON. THE ENDING (LAST 15 MINUTES) WAS FAIRLY EXCITING. THE PRODUCTION COSTS COULD NOT HAVE EXCEEDED $88.00.

    Decent movie...

    1. I think they have got everything they can possibly get out of this franchise
    2. Don't know if this is by design but none of the scary scenes in the previews are part of the movie - including the ghostly image on the poster; I was looking forward to the: "Back door open, front door open, side door open scene."
    3. Pretty slow till the very end.
