    Worst on the series

    by

Having seen the previous die hard series, tI was struck out by the lack of good screen play. In order to fill in for that emptiness, the movie had a lot explosion scenes. It was a waste of tickets.

Is there such a thing as to much action?

    by

Yes. Unfortunately, probably the worse Die Hard movie in the series. Bruce Willis seemed like he wished he was somewhere else during the entire movie.

The story line was simple enough and they sure do deliver on blowing up stuff but I almost want to say to much?

I think if you added up all the dialogue in total for the whole movie it might add up to about 20 minutes?

    I was not impressed.

    I fell asleep

I was awake for the first 30 minutes, fell asleep during a scene with lots of explosions and gunfire and woke up 45 minutes later to the same stuff. I have no idea what the movie was about and I have a feeling if I had stayed awake, I still wouldn't.

    Pass It Up

    by dd5470

Love Bruce, loved the previous movies, hated this one. Horrible plot, the dialogue was poorly written and even more poorly delivered, and too much CGI. This would have been a Good Day to Skip the Movie.

A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD

I gave this sequal a go; but it was a close call from being a so/so. Some special effects are good; but most are way over the top and look rugged and fake. The story is an old one so it's predictable from start to finish. Also like many movies are doing today, scenes or lines from the trailers are not in the film at the theater (I don't like this trend in films at all). The acting is OK and the plot is just worn out from this franchise.

    Loved it!

I was so excited that Willis came out with another Die Hard movie and while others were seeing "Safe Haven" my husband and I went to see Bruce. It was even better than I anticipated. I would watch it again.

    The Latest Die Hard...

It was a little odd, but Bruce Willis still has it. The plot was not as good as the previous movies and it was a little dark, but I think maybe that it has to do with it being in Russia. Anyway, it was a pretty good movie overall. The action was great and John McClain's instincts were right on target (the son should take a few lessons).

    well.....

    by tusk

To put it simply, it is not as good as the other DIE HARDS not by a long shot! I thought the last Die Hard they did was a stretch. The story line is horrible , and the acting isn't that good either. It seems like Bruce filmed this while he was doing GI joe or somthing and has about 10 one liners in the movie that are typical John Mc Claine jokes. The son of John I wasn't to impressed with the character or the actor that played him. The Russian bad guy the one who starts tap dancing I thought he had the best role and hope to see him in other movies. The special effects are really cool if you have a surround sound or see it in the theatres they are up to par. I don't want to ruin it for people that havn't seen it so I won't give away any details of the plot, all I can say is if you DON'T go see it in the theaters , its no skin off your back and wait til it comes on DVD.

It is "A Good Day to Die Hard"

Love the Die Hard series, this movie had every thing you wanted and more, the side story of his relationship with his son gave a nice spin

What's not to like about this???

A typical series entry in the Die Hard franchise, Bruce Willis (as John McClain) is as indestructible as he ever was. Decent plotting, great locations, non-stop action, characters who do double crosses, secret passageways....and - of course - lots & lots of explosions. Yeah, sure film critics - it's all moronic, low-brow entertainment. But it's GREAT entertainment! I hope they return with a sixth film in this series!

    Hey, it's Die Hard

While not as good as my favorites (Die Hard 1 and 3), it's still a good Die Hard movie. Great effects and Jack was pretty cool. The chases and explosions were fun as well.

    Worst of the series.

    by

Basic action flick that they decided to slap the Die Hard title on. Movie doesn't even resemble original film . Action is unrealistic, but at least they got some scratches. Case in point...John McClane survives two major vehicle accidents one with a major roll over and walks away without a scratch. At least previous films was somewhat believable. Is movie okay? Yes, but that's the problem. It is an okay action flick that is predictable and shouldn't be associated with Die Hard series. Wait for video.

Fun time if you like lots of action in your action films

None of the Die Hard movies are going to change your life or help you achieve nirvana. What they will do, this one included, is entertain you if your an action film person. The story is a bit of a stretch but hell that is what these movies have always done. I enjoyed it immensely and this one is on my buy list fot this Christmas.

    Not the best

    by

The movie was good, but certainly not his best. Some of the action scenes were totally unrealistic but if you remind yourself that it only a movie for entertainment and anything is possible then it was ok. Worth seeing just didn't meet the bar set by previous Die Hards.

it dragged and didnt feel complete

    by ojeanyc

its unfortunate that the die hard franchise has to go down with a bit of a flop. Willis has good presence but the move didn't move right, the story was choppy either by virtue of bad editing or bad story all together. and then there were those one liners about a vacation that were heard in the middle of parts where dialog was not necessary and then again, he didn't really go there for a vacation, he went to look for his son who was in troubles he didn't understand. the vacation joke got played out the second time he said it. aside from that, there was very shallow dynamic between father and son. i know its hard to build character in an action movie and that many of today's fans don't have the patience for that, but they could have done much better.
i didn't dislike the movie, just felt i was owed something when i left... it felt empty. a nice show of action scenes strung together by a trail of nonsense.
