    Great Family Movie!

    by

It was funny and enjoyable for me and my 11 year old daughter! We both had a great time laughing together!

I also had a really great message about taking care of the planet.

Loved it and will likely purchase the DVD when it is available.

The Lorax. A movie to go with a message to know.

The producers of Despicable Me did a fantastic job in bringing the world of Dr. Seuss alive with the animated film, The Lorax. The characters were entertaining, voice-over casting spot on and the animated color/textures were so vivid.

While the story was simple and predicable, the movie would still be entertaining to both adults and children (most of the audience in our theater were adults).

This film is beautifully done and has an excellent message. Both my 4 yr old grandson and I enjoyed it, I would highly recommend it for any age audience.

My little sister & I enjoyed the movie. I like the fact that this movie is teaching the children about preserving the trees. The movie was very funny & entertaining.

    Well done!

    by srogra

Wonderfully entertaining adaptation of this classic story. Brought to life in a manner true to the original tale with several appropriate modern day references to make it as current and relevant of a story as any out there today. A must see!

    Lorax is Angry Propaganda

I took my four year old daughter to a what I thought would be a nice movie with a good message about taking care of the world around her and left feeling angrier then I have ever been after a movie. The movie took a good message from Dr.Suess and made it into a bitter and mean propaganda movie with a bunch of nice occupy theme songs thrown in. I do not need rhetoric and nasty messaging about the evil 1% spoon fed to me, my family or my community. No thank you!

    The Lorax

The movie was surprisingly good. Which means it was better than I and my date had expected. We went out of curiousity to see how they made a story that can be read in 10-20 minutes into a full length movie and were pleasantly surprised. The environmental message is well done without being preachy, and the face of evil corporate greed, trying to prevent trees from making a comeback as he makes his living selling bottled air, was very well done in the form of O'Hare Especially the scene where the heroine Audrey who has painted the back of her house with trees finds all of her worked scrubbed off with a sign saying the destruction of her artwork is courtesy of O'Hare Air.. All in all an excellent movie. Betty White steals the scenes she is in, which isn't an easy trick given that this is an animated move Kudos there. Zac Efron as Ted and Taylor Swift as Audrey do wonderful jobs with their characters also. Danny Devito's Lorax is perfect also.

    Great family entertainment

This is a great movie for the whole family. It continues the story of the original Dr. Seuss cartoon and book -- but does not annoy you with 100+ minutes of poetry.

I especially like the theme of conservation and taking care our world. Too ofthen, that message gets junked up with politics. Anything that can help my 3 and 4 year old understand that they need to clean up and take care of their world is alright by me. The Irony, after watching the once-ler throw down his trash -- my kids noticed all the popcorn and wrappers on the ground where we sat, and helped clean it up.

At the end, all the little kids in the theater clapped, including my 3-year old daughter. This is a movie I would recommend to any parent.

    the Lorax

    by

Classic Dr. Seuss, classic message (take care of the Earth for future generations), but one that bears repeating (especially with a cast of Seuss bears). Adapting the Seuss style to animation is a "no duh!", though it appears modern audiences want more stuff that's bigger, colorfuller and blows up more often. Ah well, maybe they'll like the film enough to read the original book. Perfectly wonderful for younger grade-schoolers & preschoolers, it doesn't quite have that... something... that Pixar has. See it anyway.

A tree falls the way it leans. Be careful which way you lean.

Great movie with lots of memorable moments and quotes. Family fun for all ages.
Humorous on multiple levels - i.e "too big to fail"

Fairly true to the book, although it takes more of a "willy wonka" twist during the classical biggering, and biggering portion.

    Fun for the Whole Family

I really enjoyed this film a lot. This is definitely a family movie. There were many funny parts and very cute parts that we all related to. While I am all about being respectful of nature, I wouldn't call myself an enviromentalist. That being said, I think this movie does have a great message for kids and adults alike. It's in your face with the message, but not in a pushy or condescending sort of way like, in say, Cars 2. It's a reminder that what we do affects nature and in turn will affect us and I don't think that's a bad thing to be reminded of. I just wanted to point that out because I feel some people might not enjoy the film if they aren't aware of the environmental theme beforehand. I can't wait for this to come out on DVD because I will definitely be buying it.
I do like when they make the less known Dr. Seuss books into movies because there's less of an expectation there and I enjoyed it more. I haven't been a fan of any of the Dr. Seuss based movies before this.

    It was cute

    by Nana411

My 4 yr old Grandson did enjoy it. It was cute. He was ready to leave 1/2 way through it so I think he lost interest in the movie.

Fandago tickets not available at kiosk

Save your $3.75 b/c it is a waste of $. I went to the kiosk & there was no record of tickets. I had to go to the ticket booth to get our tickets. Our 5 year old had fun at her first movie; it was a fun movie for little kids.
