On the Edge of My Seat

This movie was very entertaining and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire movie. Halle Berry was excellent and did a great job in her role, I was still shaking as I walked out. It is great for adults but I would definitely not let my teenage daughter or children see it as she would never stay home alone again or go to the Mall alone ever again. The ending was perfect and a surprise. Not a movie for young girls.

The Call

Pretty much edge of your seat for the whole movie. The guy that plays the crazy was absolutely awesome. He was totally creepy. I did have alot of trouble hearing "understanding" the conversations between Jordon and Casey when she was in the trunk. Casey as well was really good though. Very little bad language if any, I really can't remember any and no nudity at all which was very refreshing for my wife and I. 4 outta 5 stars for us... Go see it, if you like this type of entertainment.

It's a good movie kept me on feet. I just wanted to see what going to happen the person at the end. And if the police officers was going to get to him. But other then that I will buy the DVD when it comes available.

Mother of teenage daughters

This was a very good movie but very hard to watch! I tell both of my teen daughters just how quick this can happen! This is a mothers worst nightmare! I think ever mother/daughter must see this! There are so many CRAZIES in this world and this happens everyday! Very good movie and a "MUST GO" ......

Good movie

The Call

I really enjoyed the movie. I thought this was actually Halle's best movie since she won the Oscar. Even though she is a talented actress, I didn't particularly care for any of the movies she played in after she won the Oscar. However, this was a good one, with a good storyline. The movie kept you interested/intrigued and at times caught by surprise i.e., yelling/screaming, cheering, and applause of course. The entire theatre was engaged, even the men. The theatre was more than 75% filled and I went to a 7 pm showing.

At the end of the movie - you only heard movie goers saying they enjoyed the movie. I even heard a couple of men mention there will probably be a Call 2.

Two Thumbs up Halle (oh and having eye candy like Morris Chestnut to look at sure didn't hurt)!!!!

That was the ending?

I was disappointed! The previews looked so thrilling and suspenseful. There were times that the kidnapped victim could have escaped! Holly Berry is great actress, but they could have chosen a better wig for her. The movie could have been better.

Very good movie - keeps you involved the entire movie

Good stuff. There were a couple of "oh please" moments, but overall, we enjoyed it (and it seems like everyone else in the theater did as well). Go see it.

Starts out strong but gets lazy at the end.

I liked this when Jordan (Berry's character) was following the second victim in the trunk of the car. The coordination between the dispatchers and the police was very interesting; this is something you don't see often. The switch to the second car was well done. I would have liked more Imperioli.
The problem with The Call is how it wraps up the story. After the victim's call is lost Jordan keeps repeating parts of the call and comes to an idea of where to look for her. What we're asked to believe at this point is that a 911 dispatcher goes to search for a kidnap victim and doesn't call 911! She can save the girl and have the police involved. Laziness like that takes my mind off a movie and to how it starts to become silly. What's worse is the "resemblance" to Silence of the Lambs.
And what's with all the people coming back to life? Two beatings and a drowning and all three characters pop back up.
It's a Silence rehash. But it's not too bad.

Unbelieveable ending

To think that someone familiar with law enforcement and knowing that a treasure trove of forensic evidence plus the offender is waiting to be picked up would walk away and let him slowly die is unbelieveable. The dynamics of this film was completely off base in the way it went. Even if does suppose a measure of just desserts, it is still a movie that I will neither rent in the future or buy a copy of.

stupid heroine

Halle Barry makes a lot of stupid moves in this film, which really ruins what could be a good story. They should rewrite the second half of the movie especially the really dumb ending.

A "Chilling" Movie that All Must See!

Despite a cast of slightly above average actors, including Halle Berry, the plot made a "so-so" movie into a near 4-star event! There wasn't a dull moment in The Call, which was capped with a very surprising ending.

Wife and I liked it a lote. Not that gory and was edge of seat entertainment. Want to see The Call 2 and 3, if any.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE...BEGINNING TO END...IT WAS SUSPENSEFUL...I LOVED THE CHARACTERS...GREAT CHEMISTRY...IT WAS A THRILLER...YOU DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT...IT CAPTURED MY ATTENTION THE ENTIRE TIME...HALLE BERRY WAS GREAT!!
