WTF?

The scariest thing in this movie is its opening scene. PERIOD. This sequel had a lot of promise given how good the first one was, but the writers dropped the ball. First, the contortion effects and the special FX in general are non existent in this movie. Second, the actual exorcism lasts 5 minutes before the group bails. Third, if you decide that the girl is the backstory of the sequel then the movie then you MUST show us a demon. LE2 gets the award for biggest waste of time. I'd rather have seen the killing than blood splatter on windows suggesting she ripped into her victims. Sheeesh!!!

Just ok. Kind of slow and not as scary as the first

If you go, see the cheaper matinee show - or wait for DVD. It was an ok followup if you saw the first. The first was a lot better and much scarier.

To put it simply, it was boring!!! It was nothing like the first, which was pretty good. And, unfortunately, they left it open at the end for part 3. If you really want to see it, wait for the video!

Should have been straight to video

The original film was a mostly smart horror movie with a really dumb ending. This sequel basically expands the dumb ending into a whole film. TLE2 follows what happens to the girl who was possessed in the first film as she tries to move on with her life. Ashley Bell gives an impressively committed performance but you can see her struggling to overcome the bad material very much like her character in the film struggles to escape the clutches of the demon that still wants her. In both cases the effort is ultimately futile. This movie is seriously terrible, but not in a so bad it's good way (except for the ending which is pretty amusing). It's just boring and dumb with no scares and very few ideas, good or bad. Bell manages to make you root for her character, but she's the lone bright spot in a movie that never should have gotten a theatrical release in the first place.

Worse than the first...

I don't know why I keep falling for these movies. The trailers are always promising and the films are utter garbage. Come on, Eli, I know you can do better than this...

Worse than the first one!

I thought the first one was a bad film with great acting, so I would have hoped that they at least fixed the story for the sequel. My mistake! Isn't a horror movie supposed to be scary, original, and actually creep you out? This movie did none of those things. The only great thing about this film is Ashley Bell and her amazing acting, the rest of it should be erased from all cinemas. AVOID THIS FILM AT ALL COSTS! I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER!

Was not pleased

The first one was very good compared #2 and the first one was good at best. Was VERY cheesy and something you might rent at a redbox. The characters were very confusing in which you didnt know who was real or who was good or bad. For a demon possession they went overboard with the powers "abalam" had which they show at the end of the movie. if you liked the first one like i did this movie is going to be a total let down. On a positive note the beginning was very good and the plot where she goes to a half way home was good. The mardi gras scene was well put. The actual exorcism was probably the worst one ive seen for an exorcism movie.

The worst movie ever

Do not waste your money, this is the worst movie ever, is like they ran out of money to do the rest of the movie right after the opening scene, there is no special effects, they just keep showing clips from part 1 and the end OMG you know that app for your phone that you can act special effects to your videos, yeah that's what they did. MOVIE SUCKS.

Lacked Depth and....Everything Else

By no means am I a movie critic, but this movie just missed on pretty much everything level. I no real story line, no real plot (or maybe I just missed it). Yes it did have some "Frightening" moments but for the most part...meeeehhh

The Last Exorcism

It was not as scary as the Part 1 and was no comparison to the very first Exorcism. There was way too much story and not enough scary. I should have made me not want to go to sleep instead I slept like a baby. The writers need to dig in the old movie boxes and find what makes them scared in order to write something that will scare the bajoobies out of people today!1 I should have waited for this to come on cable!!!!!

This was the most ridiculously poorly written, acted and produced movie, that I've ever had the displeasure of wasting money to watch. It was neither scary or interesting. The acting was terrible, the writing was even worse. And lastly, a demon in love with a human? Get serious

Cliched yet still good

I'm with a bunch of others on here that I've never been a huge horror movie fan but a friend of mine was in the mood for one this time and the poster with the main woman's body bent like a 2 was very cool and freaky so figured what the heck. It was cliched and predictable for the most part but it had some originality to it as well so I can't put "Oh NO" or "NO" as my grade. I enjoyed some of the thoughtfulness in the direction of the plot and small amount of plot twists. I was also pleasantly surprised to see Muse Watson (Mike Franks in NCIS) as one of the main characters and he was pretty good. I can understand most of the negative comments because, yes, it wasn't very scary at all, but it had its merits to make it a nice movie to watch on a B movie or Halloween movie marathon night...right after laughing at the Blair Witch Project and poking fun at Jason X.

the last exorcism part 2

It was a nice story but I really never saw the first one, so it kind of got me lost but it was cool I can really say iy was a so-so type of movie. If they make another one please tell them to make it better
