Very well done, but very violent (high body count) and upsetting given what just happened in Boston this week.
Love Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett and Ashley Judd as always.

Worth seeing, but not very realistic

Very good, entertaining movie. A lot of action to keep you on the edge of your seat. No very realistic which was very distracting in some portions, but overall not bad!

Oh, it's fallen and it can't get up!

I'm sorry, but I really can't recommend this movie! Yeah, I understand it's supposed to be action, but do we need another cross between Rambo and Die Hard? The original "Die Hard" was very good because the story line and stunts were believable. "Rambo: First Blood" was not bad, but it was stretching it because how can ONE man take on an army and not get so much as a scratch, so-to-speak! This film has A LOT of people getting shot to death - and some in the head. I think if people are getting hit by at least 50 caliber bullets; then we'd see more torn up bodies! Forgive me, but again, how is it that ONE man can (though a good guy) be able to do so much - and, not get more injured - let alone, survive?! Don't get me wrong, I like good action movies, this one didn't do anything for me. A rental at best. The SPX even looked fake!

What a Insult

This movie would have been a great film if it was made in the 1970's. It insults your intelligence. Im not in or have been in the military and I know enough to know the counter tactics used in this film was pathetic to say the least. The Technology Shown is also an insult to the technical world. The terrorist actions would never have played out.
Who ever wrote this is betting that your an idiot and it was sold solely based on you paying to see this.
If you haven't seen it consider yourself lucky, and do yourself a favor, wait to rent it for $1 at the local video dispensing machine.

They try to tell you that they need 3 codes from the staff to self district our Nukes while they are sitting inside our silo's. Funny thing is, they claim by blowing them up, it would cause a nuke holocaust. Truth is, you can blow up our nuke missile all you want, the NUKE wont go off until its been activated

INTENSE

This was not what I expected but was it so intense! I personally do not like violent movies and it was extremely violent! I must say it was excellently made with great effects. The 2 hours flew by and not a lull or drawn out minute in the entire movie.... Scary to think something like this could possibly happen and hoping it doesn't give terrorists any ideas....Cast of characters was amazing! Go if you like bloodshed & a lot of action! Not for the weak of heart or especially not for kids!

Implausible...but fun!

Massive body count...better than anything since Die Hard 2. Some of the stuff could never happen, but hey, it's a movie! So, if you like explosions, gun play, knife play, and action on top of action, go see it.

All I can say is if you are looking for a movie with action starting from the beginning and not stopping, go see this movie. I wish this was inn 3D.

The Fall Of Olympus!

OK modern day preamble US vs presumed terror threat from foreign invader! Enjoyed the rich opening 45mins of foreign attack on US soil...well directed etc; Rest of movie falls to formulaic banter over hierarchy of leadership and our one guy is better than both all our guys and yours put together! Conflict neatly resolved without disturbing the luster of chosen icons within our government!

Food for the imagination

This was a very well made, action, suspense filled movie. It had a great cast and the scripot was reality based. Government secrets were never revealed however the fictional depiction was very convincing and food for the imagination. This is a very good film worthy of a must see again on the big screen.

Olympus Has Fallen will have you on the edge of your seat. Gerard Butler is definitely the star in this action-packed, heart-pounding adventure! I'm late seeing this movie, but better late than never!

If you liked Die Hard--GO

Couldnt be more timely. Well done, very suspenseful.Similar in my opinion to Die Hard as its one man against an army, but even more shoot em up blow em up.
Very entertaining, which is all i ask of a movie these days.

Excellent action movie (and a good wake up call)

Olympus Has Fallen is a great action movie and I would really like to know what the critics are smoking these days. For Argo to win the Oscar as the Best Movie of the year is absurd and is a perfect example of what is wrong with movie making these days. OHF is an action movie that somewhat resembles reality today but there is no mention of it being "based on a true story" etc whereas Argo was supposed to be just that. During the "13 minute" onslaught the villains laid on the White House was riveting and very well done.Thank God it was just a movie. However, the "15 minutes" that it took for the cavalry to finally show up may be plausible and that is even more terrifying. The mere 2 fighter jets that were deployed to shoot down the enemy were handled with ease by the well equipped enemy aircraft. If there is any resemblance of these facts to how the White House is being protected then we as a nation have a major crack in our armor and defense systems. Great wake up call and movie!

A gotta go watch film!

Story line was great, very interactive, the action was attention grabbing. And you hated the bad guy just as much as Gerald Butler. The immense level of action, explosives and theatrics made for great engaging viewing. However, the budget must have been stretched to its limit, as the special effects on bullet wounds showed almost a cartoon like effect. All in all a 8 out of 10... Go check it out.

Worth every minute

Don't buy many movies these days, but this one is a must own. Every minute was spent on the edge of your seat and wishing you were wearing a diaper!!! Unbelivably GREAT!!!!!
