Bad guys are bad guys......dont kid yourself. It may seem too gross and cruel, but Terrorists are criminals and as such we should treat them. Great job Gerald Butler !!! And of course, my blessings to Mr Morgan Freeman.

Amazing!!!

It's amazing that the white house could be taken over so easily. Could it really happen like that? Other than the unlikely chance that this movie protraits a glimpse of reality, it WAS an entertaining flick. Simple, easy to follow plot, good acting, great special effects. Go see it for the action.

Man what a movie. The action was incredible. All I kept thinking was how apropos this movie is concerning today's current events. Our government seems inept and the world has gone crazy! Woof!!!! Go see it for yourself. I clapped and screamed and yes'd throughout the entire movie! It was a great ride and I think I will be taking it again!!!!! Enjoy!!! Already in line to get the Blu-ray DVD! Antoine Fuqua, you did it again! Cudos to you!!!!

Good flick

This is not for the kids, as it is violent within the first 5 minutes. I felt the action was good and the movie well planned out. The actors did a good job and you really think it is the white house...

Die Hard DC

Good watch but could have had Bruce Willis and would have been Die Hardest. Anything to make Morgan freeman acting president is good in my book.

Critics are wrong!

This not Die Hard...much to the dismay of critics this is a completely different story line. But similar to Die Hard only Gerard Butler left to save the world. However, it is a return to the US in dire trouble and very extraordinaire situations involving the US government buildings and terrorism. The big enemy is North Korean terrorist faction, KFU.

Worth seeing but maybe wait a couple weekends after release.

Loved it

Took the teen boys to see it with the hubby. Movie was action packed and full of excitement. Boys talked about how great it was all the way home. Always good when the US kicks someone butt! Butler was great as the hero! Movie was violent! Movie had cursing! so if that bothers you don't go! We had a great Saturday night at the movies!

Not brain surgery but Entertaining!

Yeah you can read the reviews from the critics that say that Olympus is just the typical action movie OR you can go and have a great time. Shut your brain off and just watch the movie for what it is. I would liken it to Battleship, just great dumb explosive fun. Not one boring moment, sure it was far from original, and the plot was very questionable, but very entertaining and a fun action flick. Don't listen to the critics - go and see for yourself.

Good intense movie

Although there are a few weak points in the story, it is a great action film that sort of reminds me of the first Die Hard. Guy in a situation. Morgan Freeman is his usual cool self and Gerard Butler comes across well too. It's well worth seeing even with the weak spots. There is a bit too much in the way of graphic blood that isn't necessary and too much f word usage so that's why I give it a Go instead of a Must Go. Neither the gore nor the extensive foul language is necessary to the story.

It's amazing how just a few decades ago, movies could be made with lots of tension and action with no gore nor foul language, now it seems to be a requirement.

Anyway, go see it. It's intense.

Good action movie

This is a very good action movie in the same vein as Die Hard. Gerard Butler is great and definitely makes the movie. The only negative is that the violence is too graphic, it could have been toned down some and not lose the story or action aspects.

Very good escapist/action flick. Improbable terrorist take over of White House but hey - it would be movie short if it was otherwise. Good characters and plot twists. Butler was even able to contain his overly exuberant accent.

Edge of Your Seat

Very good movie and fully action packed. Definitely worth the ticket price. From start to finish I was on the edge of my seat not knowing what to expect next. The cast, acting and action sequences were excellent. For me this was a must go see regardless of what critics said!!

Father and son

Im been picky on the movie I let my older son see im accompanyed him to watch this movie and it is a Go movie, Gerald Butler did a good job as the hero some scences were a bit to harash as i can imgaine our White getting attack, so people go see this movie or u can wait til it comes to redbox

Good Movie

Loved this movie...although at first I kept remembering Aaron Eckhart playing Harvey Denton (Two-Face) from Batman and couldn't get that out of my mind. He finally took off and I forgot all about it. Very suspenseful at times. Recommend it more as an adult movie and not for younger audiences.

Olympus Has Fallen will have you on the edge of your seat. Gerard Butler is definitely the star in this action-packed, heart-pounding adventure! I'm late seeing this movie, but better late than never!
