Engaging action movie...

If you're a fan of fast paced action movies that keep you on the edge of your seat from the beginning to end, this is a good movie for you. My only disappointment was later on in the movie plot, but I won't give away any spoilers. I'd rate this a 3.5-4/5, but the rating system here won't permit this and a 'go' seems equivalent to 'average' where this is above average. There is some very graphic violence, so may not be appropriate for mid-teens or younger.

Olympus Has Fallen

The movie delivers as a great action thriller. Lots of human tension, great cast. It doesn't reinvent the genre but it isn't designed to. The movie hits the mark, a fun ride from Antoine Fuqua. Go along for the ride and enjoy it.

Loved it!

I read the reviews and completely disagree with them. This is no Die Hard movie. plus Gerard Butler was good. He had enough sense of humor to equalize the tension from the suspense and action of the movie. I enjoyed it a lot! Kept me on my toes from the beginning to the end of the movie. So if you want a good action movie, GO see it.

When there is So-So movie critic reviews and very positive movie goer reviews, it's a no brainer. Just go see the movie, and you will not be disappointed. The movie has a very good story line that really hits close to home and seems so real about the current events you see on the news. Definitely an eye opener.

Fun Movie

Though parts of it stretched believability (come on; no one can take that much abuse Gerard Butler), it was easy to enjoy and totally packed with great action and tension.

Very intense, full of surprises.. quite Good!

Really enjoyed the movie. Acting is top notch, the plot is fantastic and pulls you into the action from the beginning right until the end. If you like the "shoot 'em up", Die Hard like movies - you will LOVE this one! Plus it has some nice heartfelt moments that add even more to the story.

I have heard friends express concerns in response to this movie about "Whether this could really happen?" given what is happening in Korea right now. However, I question some of the assumptions the story takes in how little fire power we would send in to stop a large (armed) plane flying into restricted air space in our country's capital (especially after 9/11)... or how a well known, wanted terrorist could pass through our security (when we have a picture of him on file) and walk right through the front doors of the white house. The assumptions make for a great movie concept... but I have no doubt that this is not something we should take too seriously in thinking this could actually happen.

Olympus Has Fallen will have you on the edge of your seat. Gerard Butler is definitely the star in this action-packed, heart-pounding adventure! I'm late seeing this movie, but better late than never!

Action Packed

I wanted to see this movie because I am a Morgan Freeman fan; but I must say the movie was actually pretty dog-gone good! It started a little slow and quickly picked up the pace - I really enjoyed Angela Bassett's role. This is one that will make it to my video library.

Die Hard: With a White House

Follows a very familiar format: Terrorists mount a lighting-quick attack on an "isolated" building; implement a number of seemingly impregnable weapons systems; take helpless captives from which highly volatile, US-destroying information must be gleaned by means of death & torture; deploy a sizable number of armed and motivated professional mercenaries; bring the established government forces to a helpless "observation" position; set a timeframe on their scheduled march to our national oblivion.
Add: One sole discredited lawman, stir well, and after a suitable series of pyrotechnic events, enjoy the validation of the victor.
Well done but a tad derivative.

This is the best movieI have seen this year. Great acting and story that kept me o the edge of my seat. highly recommend seeing it although very violent and not for little ones.

My girlfriend chose it because she loves Gerard butler, and I love him too but I was reluctant at first because I was comparing it to GI Joe but, now after watching I have no regrets. It was a brilliant movie. I saw it twice. My gf made a great decision. Happy wife ... Happy life

Die Hard in the White house.

Don't expect an Academy award. However, it was a really good action movie and I really enjoyed it. Either see it on the big screen or BluRay.

Die hard at the White House

This movie is more like die hard than a political thriller, some outrageous plot with a super thin plan and only one guy to save the day. It starts with a faulty premise and goes down from there. It is graphically violent and lacks surprises. I wouldn't waste $12 to see this movie. It?s definitely a netflix-er.

Action, action, action

This movie is full of awesome special effects and action. The plot is rich with surprises and nail biting suspense. If you are a fan of the Die Hard plot base you will love this movie.
