    Dark Skies

    by sloren1

I give this film a 6.5 out of 10. It had some slow moments & some jumpy frightening moments, not too terrifying but good, curious.

Dark Skies - Take it or Leave It

    by in2play

Dark Skies was so-so. I enjoyed it; but, its hard to believe a family would stay in a house for a whole series of strange happenings for so long. I would've checked into the nearest hotel by the second occurrence.

Left me silent at the end!

I loved this movie. I wasn't excited at the beginning to watch something about aliens thinking that it wouldn't be a 'scary movie' but then it touched on so many emotions. The actors were so real, I totally saw them as a family going through this horrible nightmare. The father was really annoying at the beginning and his face bugged me with all the close ups and his tired face. I guess he did play the 'bitter husband not getting any' really well. But I didn't like the way they'd focus on him so much.. I was thinking this guys an **shole. I was happy he got the implant and not her.....(heeheehee) The way the camera moved and timing really sets a mood. It only scares you if you think it's possible for this to happen and I'm not a scientist but I'm not stupid to think it can't. The theatre was totally quiet once the credits started. This is totally not for kids and it's pg-13 but I wouldn't take sensitive 13 or 14 year old to it. Younger Teenagers talking about oral sex.

    Dark Skies- Tolerable

The movie overall was only okay. I thought it was slightly far-fetched, but had a few good jumps. It is not something I would see again, but did not think my money was totally wasted.

    Dark Skies Dark Profit

I can't possibly imagine seeing this movie again. I'll give the movie some credit in that it gave me a few good scares and unless they are planning on making a sequel, the ending really disappointed me. If you are into aliens and the great beyond kind of stuff, then I suggest going to see this flick but if not, don't waste your time.

    A New Take

A refreshing plot twist on alien abduction theme. Very good character development, especially
well portrayed by the principal actors. Kerri Russell, the mother, did a fantastic job! Please note that this is not an "action" movie, it has a slower pace than a typical alien movie; more story development, not as much gore--but still "horrific".

    Dark Skies

This movie is about alien abductions [I'm not giving away anything here , it's in the trailer] . Keri and Josh are a married couple with two kids . When strange , disturbing events start happening [on one occasion , a flock of birds just dive bomb into their house , killing themselves , of course] they are at a loss as to what is the cause . The kids even start acting strange and it's not too much later when the parents join in on the looney tunes . Dakota plays their oldest son . J.K. plays an expert on alien abductions and shares his knowledge , when all the other explanations give out . The story is interesting [if you like the subject matter] but I did not care for the ending .
I would not buy this one on DVD but it would be a good rental .

    Wait for dvd

This is a nice movie to see on a Saturday night at home, it's got decent chills but if I remember the twist at the end reminded me of an Are you Afraid of the Dark episode called The 13th Floor. Overall just wait for dvd

    so so

I was automatically hooked when I initially saw the trailor for this movie I thought it had a cool premise and would be very thrilling. After I saw this movie I will say I kinda felt a little cheated. The acting was ok but the story although errie at times was ultimalty dissapointing. the big twist which most of these types of movies have was weak and just made you say..OK whoop de-do. If you can hold off to rent it I would say do so but if you were captivated by the trailor such as I was then go and be prepaird to be let down.

    Scary enough

The parents' reactions to each other were sometimes puzzling, but overall it was an enjoyably scary movie once it got going. Go with someone you can snuggle up and hold onto.

    To Good to miss!!!!

I went to this showing expecting very little. Let's face it, most horror movies are the same and you can figure out what to expect before it happens. This movie really put me in my place! Surprise after surprise and quite a few scares! I am so glad I didn't let this one get away! I could easily watch it over and over. The special effects were awesome! The acting was super! And the story was very believable (if anyone has done any research concerning grays you know what I mean) It is only showing once late night but I urge you to go watch it before it is gone!!!

    A good suspense movie

This is a pretty good movie. Nice twist on some out of this world alien movie. My only two thoughts is 1) for a PG-13 movie a little too much teenage sex scene and language. 2) Don't leave your kids alone at night, EVER..... enough said.

Good movie, not too gory - I enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the movie, excellent effects - definately spooky. The ending confused me though - the ending was too abrupt and I heard other people in the audience go, huh?

Other than that - good movie.

I found the movie's story line to be confusing and overall kinda dull. I was entertained in parts and i didnt fall asleep. but it's definitely not a movie i would recommend someone go and see.
