    It's Been Done Before, But..

    Obviously, ya gotta be a scary movie fan for this one to begin with. Overall, this was an exciting thrill ride with some slick effects. But, at the end of the day, we've all seen this done before and this one just doesn't stand out.

    The Gray's, they are with us.

    SPOILER: If you are expecting some resolution to the Alien issue or want a happy ending this is not the movie for you. It does in fact hold true to the million reports from people that say they are experiencing these very same things. The Grays, they exist. Can we stop them NO, do we need to accept they are real, YES! Go see it, be aware, and be alert for the signs. You family might be next.

    Chilling, but bad ending

    The movie overall was a great idea, very creepy, however the ending was sub par. It was another alien movie. The trailer sold it but the movie, I could have waited until it came out on DVD.

    Great HALF of a movie!!

    I would say the ending sucked, but there was no ending. It was a very entertaining movie that sucked you in and kept you there throughout. Then it just stopped. It was as though the script writer reached his page limit so they just ended it. It's one thing to end a movie leaving the audience to wonder about some things. This left the audience wondering about everything! It would be fine if it was called "Dark Skies Part 1". I rated it 'so-so' instead of 'no' or 'oh no!' because it was a good movie until it just stopped. If it wasn't for the fact that the credits ran, I would have thought the projector malfunctioned. I recommend watching it (when you can watch it for free) just to see how dumb the ending is.

    CREEPY GAVE ME THE CHILLS MUST WATCH

    SEEN THE MOVIE BASED ON MY FRIENDS RECOMMENDATION AND ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW...HAD ME ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT..AND AS ALL MY FRIENDS SAY I HAVE ADD WHEN IT COMES TO MOVIES..ILL LOSE INTEREST FAST IF I DON'T LIKE...ITS SCARY. AND SUSPENSEFUL...I OVERHEARD A GUY SAYING AS WE WHERE WALKING OUT HE GOT THE CHILLS TOO..MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR NACHOS AND POPCORN BEFORE THE MOVIE STARTS YOU WONT WANT TO MISS A SECOND..FROM START TO END THIS MOVIE IS SOOOO GOOD...I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT I HAD TO FOR THIS MOVIE...THIS MOVIE IS A MUST WATCH IN THEATER DON'T WAIT TILL IT COMES OUT ON DVD ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY...

    Dark Skies

    The movie has it's scary freaky moments. Too me it seemed like the movies: Signs, Invasion of the body snatchers, Poltergeist all rolled into one. Overall the movie was OK.

    Pretty Good Horror Flick!

    I'm a connoisseur of fine horror flicks, so it takes a lot to get me excited. But this movie had some nice "shock" scenes if you can call it that. The revelation of the aliens was amazing. The ending made sense and was pretty good but it could've been a little better. Over all good movie, you should definitely go see this one.
    I wouldn't take my kids (or expect nightmares for a long time.)
    The acting was decent (its a horror film nobody really cares about that -- the blair witch project made millions!!).
    go see it.

    Awesome movie !!

    if you liked the fourth kind then you'll LOVE this movie ,Dark Skies turned out to be better then expected, the acting was really great & so was the whole story of the movie .Overall really great movie!

    Pleasantly surprised

    I wasn't quite sure what to expect and was a bit apprehensive because I do not like horror movies. This, however, was not at all that genre. It's suspenseful with a what's-going-to-happen-next, grab-onto-your-chair feeling. There's a bit of an unexpected twist at the end that later left me with an, "Oh no! What now?" But, that's all part of the suspense. Yes, I was pleasantly surprised and liked this movie. I'll watch it again when it comes out on DVD.

    I was not expecting a great movie when going into dark skies and i did not witness a great movie. The plot to this movie was in my opinion adequate. The acting was good as for all characters went. And i have to say so was the animation put on the aliens or in this movie known as the Greys. The ending of this movie brought down the bar for me and is the reason im giving this movie a so so. just be expecting the ending to be somewhat of a disappointment.

    Glad I chose this movie to watch today. I'm not normally into alien abduction films, but this one is different and very well done. Script is very well written. Movie is along similar lines of the movie "Signs", but not quite that good. Movie is not real scary so teens (13+) should enjoy. Movie is more suspenseful, but provides some good scares. Movie is from Producers of "Paranormal Activity" and you can see certain similarities. The last part of the movie has a major plot twist with an ending that is thought provoking. Some may not like ending, but I found it intriguing and they may be setting it up for sequels.

    Definitely Underrated Movie

    You must see this movie! when I wasn't covering my eyes I was holding on to my husband for dear life. Many chills came my way. See it during the day because it's too scary at night!

    To Good to miss!!!!

    I went to this showing expecting very little. Let's face it, most horror movies are the same and you can figure out what to expect before it happens. This movie really put me in my place! Surprise after surprise and quite a few scares! I am so glad I didn't let this one get away! I could easily watch it over and over. The special effects were awesome! The acting was super! And the story was very believable (if anyone has done any research concerning grays you know what I mean) It is only showing once late night but I urge you to go watch it before it is gone!!!

    Dark Skies - Take it or Leave It

    Dark Skies was so-so. I enjoyed it; but, its hard to believe a family would stay in a house for a whole series of strange happenings for so long. I would've checked into the nearest hotel by the second occurrence.
