    Big Waste of Money

I love Tina Fey and Paul Rudd but, there is no chemistry and the story line was all over the place, if your curious spend your money at Redbox.

"DENY" Fey & Rudd...this movie sucks

Predictable. Cheesy. Cliche. & not funny.

I'm surprised Fey & Rudd agreed to this script. They must have been paid well.

This movie sucks. The only worse thing to do than watching this movie would be removing one's hangnails.

    DVD Rental

I really lie Tina Fey and Paul Rudd (well, him in things that aren't rated r) but this movie fell a little flat. Some comedy, like them as a couple, I enjoy Lily Tomlin but story wise? While, all the right components were there, it just didn't come together well. I should have waited to Red Box it but oh, well......

    Exceeded expectations

    by

Not a huge Rom-Com fan, but this had a lot of nice surprises and the biggest is that it isn't a Rom-Com. Every one was great, Lily Tomlin is GORGEOUS! and the little twist ending kept if from being too sweet and neat. I would recommend it to any one looking for a smart, funny film.

    Deny Admission

Disappointing. No chemistry between fey and rudd. Stereotyped and one dimensional characters. Forced humor. Makes light of an activity (college) admission that is actually deadly serious. I did not read it but have been told the book was very good.

    Not what I expected

    by bougala

I thought it would be funnier. The story was weak and I don't think Tina Fey and Paul Rudd had any chemistry. In all it was more depressing than funny. LIly Tomlin's character was not likeable at all.

All in all, I would not go see it. If you really want to see it....wait for the DVD.

    Admission

This is a very good movie. Tina Fey is wonderful as is Paul Rudd and Lily Tomlin.
You don't expect it to be funny, heartwarming and have a special twist in the plot.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves film.

Not great but not bad either

The story has a lot of dramatic thoughts on it's mind and if the script was more focused the movie could have been a classic. Too many forced gags when you had a naturally humorous story. All the actors were fantastic - I wish the film could have been more.

Not sure what I expected, but this was not it

How do you have Paul Rudd and Tina Fey and the movie not be funny? I was very disappointed and regretted spending my money. I expected a comedy, and what I got was one of those "feel-good" movies that didn't make me feel good.

    Very enjoyable

If you like Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, you'll definitely like this movie. We went with our daughter, a sophomore in college, and we all found it very entertaining - especially since we'd been through the admission process 2-yrs ago. We'd definitely recommend it and will watch it again.

More serious than you might expect

Tina Fey turns out to be a competent serious actress in addition to being able to do slapstick comedy. Perhaps I was in a bad mood when I walked in but I was expecting a lighter story with more laughs. At least that's what the trailers had led me to expect. Overall, not a bad way to spend 2 hours but I didn't walk away feeling better than I walked in.

    Tina is still good!!

More a rom-com than a very funny piece, and Princeton gets off easier than you might expect on its elitist admissions process, but Tina Fey and Paul Rudd still have chemistry and the movie is enjoyable and more than a little poignant.. But probably more attractive to mature adults than the younger movie-goer.
