    See it at a matinee

Was a decent movie. Like the characters and acting. Was great to see Lilly Tomlin. Worth seeing at a matinee pricing.

The Worst Movie I Have Seen In The Theatre In A Long Time

The characters were boring. I laughed 1.5 times. In fact, the most I laughed was during the previews when there was a trailer for Scary Movie 5.

Whomever green-lit this movie is a total moron. The only thing that makes me more upset than the $12 I wasted on this unfunny pile of awful filmmaking is that the movie has already extorted $15 Million from moviegoers.

If you want to see a funny, entertaining version of "Admission" with a lesson at the end you can cheer for, don't see "Admission", go see "Orange County", starring Jack Black, Colin Hanks, Ben Stiller, John LItgow and Catherine Ohara.

    Cute Movie

It's a cute movie but could wait for DVD rental.-- nothing extraordinary and not unusally funny for the likes of Tina Fey and Paul Judd team.

its ok thought it would be funnier

there was only moments that were funny. it looked like it would have been a lot funnier. it was more a serious movie. something parts of the story line didn't make sense. i would say to watch till it comes out on DVD then go spend the $ to see it

    Worth the price of admission

Very clever movie that gets a little sappy towards the end. Lily Tomlin steals the show and Tina Fey continues to show how much talent she has. Very clever storyline. Anyone who graduated from Princeton should probably avoid this movie. Princeton comes across pretty badly in this film.

    Good for a Rainy Afternoon

Not a 'must-see' movie, but worth it for the actors and their complex characters, especially Lily Tomlin. You will not fall out of your seat laughing, but definitely get a few giggles here and there.

    Worth Seeing

I sincerely enjoyed this movie. I expected it to be a love story, but it is more than that. It had unexpected plot twists, and avoided being sappy. I recommend it.

Good movie - but NOT a comedy.

    by rob596

The movie is billed as a romantic comedy, and with Fey and Rudd you would expect as much. Unfortunately, it falls short on the comedy portion and develops a much more dramatic element that at times turns somewhat dark. Occasional slow points don't help.

Overall the story line is good and the characters are entertaining, just not quite what we were expecting when we walked into it based on writeups and trailers.

    I liked it!

I thought this was a really cute movie! Parts of it had me laughing out loud, but I would not call it a comedy. Of course it is predictable, but most movies are. I left with a smile on my face!

    There wasn't a plot

I wanted to see this movie because it had Tina Fey, and I love her work. But this was definitely not one of her best movies. It was all over the place, there was just no plot. There was so many things going on at once I couldn't tell what was what. It was disappointing, to say the least. I do not recommend this at all.

    It's ok...

    by

I liked this movie but it was not one that I would go rush out to the theaters to see. Not really that funny or romantic for that matter. The movie told a story that, for me, did not pull me in and have me tied to it emotionally. Redbox this one...

    Admission

    by vgypsee

Boring...extremely boring and a sort of depressing movie. My boyfriend hated it as well.
Whatever funny parts they do have ( not many) they show them in the previews.

Not great but very, very enjoyable!

Tina Fey and Paul Rudd were the most likable from perhaps all of their performances ever; you genuinely enjoyed being with them. The movie's not as rip-roaring funny as Bridesmaids or Hangover; no gross-out or sexual humor. But LOTS of good, solid, PG funny laughs. (That sounds like a dig but it's not.) And the two kid actors, especially Rudd's adopted son, were very good. That kid will be a star. Liked the script, lots of funny bits. And Lilly Tomlin, who played Tina Fey's mom, was consistently funny and delivered her most emotional moment wonderfully. Director had just the right balance, and the script nearly brought you to tears when Tina Fey's world collapses. All in all, very enjoyable -- during the longest drought of unappealing movies I can remember!

    expecting something else

    by

To be honest, when i saw the previews on TV, i thought it was a comedy - however, when i was watching at the theater, turns out it's not! Tina Fey and Paul Rudd has this great chemistry though as their characters try to work with each other and all the moving parts of the show. Lily Tomlin - she was a great delight - hilarious !

    Go see this movie

Paul Rudd, Tina Fey, and Lily Tomlin make this movie. The plot is a little simplistic but is brought to life in a very believable and poignant way by the terrific abilities of the cast. It would have been easy to allow a mid-movie slump by the slightly weak plot line but this never happened as each transition was made smoothly and effectively. Some very good comedic moments sprinkled throughout helped as well.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and give it a strong thumbs up.
