    A Truly Terrible Movie

My wife fell asleep twice during this movie. She was the lucky one.

The characters were truly repulsive caricatures. The acting was wooden and uninspired. The script was boring and wordy. There was absolutely nothing worth watching in this movie. A waste of 199 minutes of my life. Princeton should sue for defamation.

    Should've Been A Rental

This movie was okay and had a couple "giggle" moments. It was fairly predictable... Good date movie. I thought all the actors did a good job and was glad to see Lilly Tomlin (who did a great job).

    Admission

The movie was very funny, but the ending was not what I expected or wanted. I would say wait until it comes out on dvd save your money... rent it...

    Admission

We went knowing the reviews were not favorable but were pleasantly surprised. It is probably not the greatest movie but it did turn out to be entertaining enough.

Not great but not bad either

The story has a lot of dramatic thoughts on it's mind and if the script was more focused the movie could have been a classic. Too many forced gags when you had a naturally humorous story. All the actors were fantastic - I wish the film could have been more.

    Exceeded expectations

    by

Not a huge Rom-Com fan, but this had a lot of nice surprises and the biggest is that it isn't a Rom-Com. Every one was great, Lily Tomlin is GORGEOUS! and the little twist ending kept if from being too sweet and neat. I would recommend it to any one looking for a smart, funny film.

Not worth the price of Admission

I think the movie makers lost their way. Was it supposed to be a comedy or a drama? It really wasn't either and it sure wasn't really a dramedy.

Paul Rudd and Tina Fey are great, just not in this movie.

    Admission

I thought Admission would be more of a comedy, but, it was actually a heartfelt story.
I still enjoyed it. Tina Fey's always great, and it was a treat having Lily Tomlin play her mom.
Paul Rudd is always charming on screen. The young people were heartwarming. Good film
about the college admission process, and the politics. Also showed how the choice to have or not to have children is life-changing.

    Not what I expected

    by bougala

I thought it would be funnier. The story was weak and I don't think Tina Fey and Paul Rudd had any chemistry. In all it was more depressing than funny. LIly Tomlin's character was not likeable at all.

All in all, I would not go see it. If you really want to see it....wait for the DVD.

    Cute movie

    by

We liked the movie overall. Wasn't the greatest but was nice. I thought it showcased Tina Fey's acting and showed that she's a very good actor. Same with Paul Rudd although this was Tina's movie. Great to see Lily Tomlin as well. She's a great addition to the cast.

Not sure what I expected, but this was not it

How do you have Paul Rudd and Tina Fey and the movie not be funny? I was very disappointed and regretted spending my money. I expected a comedy, and what I got was one of those "feel-good" movies that didn't make me feel good.

    Very enjoyable

If you like Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, you'll definitely like this movie. We went with our daughter, a sophomore in college, and we all found it very entertaining - especially since we'd been through the admission process 2-yrs ago. We'd definitely recommend it and will watch it again.

More serious than you might expect

Tina Fey turns out to be a competent serious actress in addition to being able to do slapstick comedy. Perhaps I was in a bad mood when I walked in but I was expecting a lighter story with more laughs. At least that's what the trailers had led me to expect. Overall, not a bad way to spend 2 hours but I didn't walk away feeling better than I walked in.

    Did Not Meet Expectations

It was too predictable from the start. I like Tina Fey and Paul Rudd and it was great to see Lilly Tomlin back on the screen. Other than that, the good parts (humorous) were all included in the commercial. I'm female and wouldn't even classify this movie as a "chick flick".
