    See "THE COLLECTOR" first!!

While perusing the walls of a Blockbuster, I ran across this movie called "The Collector" and because I'm a serial killer movie fanatic, I rented it. I was pretty sure I was looking at "B" movie material but was proved SO wrong - it scared the CRAP out of me and I was astonished I hadn't seen this advertised in the theaters.... keep in mind I'm a 40 year old woman that owns an American Pit Bull - I'm not really afraid of much. Not only was it ridiculously graphic, there was actually a creepy, plausible story as well (and it was a good one!). I won't even let my teenage son watch the movie because it is SO SCARY. "The Collector" is probably a prequel to this "The Collection" movie as the main actors, costumes, etc.. are the same. If you choose to watch this movie (The Collector - and then assuming The Collection runs the same)... be ready AS AN ADULT to sleep with the lights on for the next month!!

    Better than expected

    by jhs39

I had low expectations for this one since it's a sequel to The Collector, a second rate torture porn flick featuring one of the dumbest heroes in the history of film. The sequel is more of a gory thriller and a huge improvement in every possible way--it's suspenseful and fun and features a heroine who is actually pretty smart and acts like it through most of the film. Of course the mercenaries hired by the heroine's rich father are complete idiots who walk into every single bobby trap that the villain sets--but their stupidity is offset by the plucky heroine who manages to escape from the trunk she is being kept in and wander through the maze of traps without actually getting killed. Even the house thief who survived the first film has grown a few brain cells since part one and manages to do a couple of clever things in an attempt to survive. This should appeal to Saw fans that don't need the moralizing and convoluted mythology but also to fans of gory 80's horror,

This movie keeps you on the edge of your seat. Not a dull moment. I haven't seen a movie where I had to cover my eyes in a long time. Must see if you like horror movies.

A bloody good time at the movies

I was a big fan of the first. You will notice that this one was cleaned up a bit, it lacked the grittiness that the first one had. It seemed as though the Director was told to lighten up the mood, if that's even imaginable in a movie like this. The lone survivor from the first one returns, just where he left off the last time, in the box. When he's forced to go back in to rescue a rich kid, he goes in with a bunch of guys who are supposedly hired guns but double as the worst actors you could find. With some elaborate traps and some brutal scenes, we are left with just two people trying to escape the collector. The first ten minutes sets the tone as we see the collector do what he does best in a crowded club. After that the action doesn't stop until the credits role. I'll have to admit I was a little thrown off by the ending, since I'm sure they are trying to set up for a third installment. A good change of pace considering the other movie choices out right now.

Ghoulishly Gruesome; Sick & Singly The Most Filthy, Cruel, Inhuman, Vile And Repulsive Trash Ever Committed Film.

I am utterly ashamed of myself for patronizing such an aberrant deviance from humanity and common morality. How, or more importantly why, ANY theatrical distributor or exhibitor could in clear conscience display such absolute degeneracy for money is simply unconscionable to me. The mere fact there is a presumed market for this sort of sick garbage makes my skin crawl. This film is but one small step above child pornography in terms of its social worth. Choose to see it and you too, provided you have even a modicum of human decency, will be ashamed of yourself. In a word, this piece of trash is depraved. There's nothing else to write about it except viewing this film is akin to experiencing a cinematic rape.

    Great Ending

    by

If you have not seen the first one, don't bother. I enjoyed the first one and I enjoyed this one just as much. Especially the ending! This is not a deep movie so if your looking for some deep storyline this isn't for you but if your into slasher movies, go see it.
