A bloody good time at the movies
I was a big fan of the first. You will notice that this one was cleaned up a bit, it lacked the grittiness that the first one had. It seemed as though the Director was told to lighten up the mood, if that's even imaginable in a movie like this. The lone survivor from the first one returns, just where he left off the last time, in the box. When he's forced to go back in to rescue a rich kid, he goes in with a bunch of guys who are supposedly hired guns but double as the worst actors you could find. With some elaborate traps and some brutal scenes, we are left with just two people trying to escape the collector. The first ten minutes sets the tone as we see the collector do what he does best in a crowded club. After that the action doesn't stop until the credits role. I'll have to admit I was a little thrown off by the ending, since I'm sure they are trying to set up for a third installment. A good change of pace considering the other movie choices out right now.
