    The Rock is Rock Solid!

    by

Dwayne Johnson plays a divorced man who's loyalty to his estranged son pit's him against not only a small time drug dealer but the entire cartel. Caught between his current family and his Ex he does what he feels is necessary to keep his son from going down on a Federal Trafficking charge. Throw into the mix an ex-con struggling to get his life back together while keeping his own young son away from the life and you have a pretty good story. The Rock has, in my opinion one of his best performances thus far in his movie career! This is an action flick so it's not an Oscar caliber movie but it is dang good! The Rock unlike other films does not morph into a super human Killing machine but instead remains vulnerable and most of all a father. The Action is great, Barry Pepper as a Undercover Narcotics officers portrays a grizzled but compassionate and savvy counterpart. Susan Sarandon plays the U.S. Attorney with eyes on a higher office and Benjamin Bratt Plays the King Pin. Go see this!

The review you can bank on

    by exp93

What you do is buy this movie and show it to your son every 30 days. When he just cant watch it another time, show him just the 1st 20 mins every 30 days. When he is 16 show him and all his friends the movie every Friday night and provide pizza.
The movie was perfect and meant something. If your a teenager and your looking for the 'Rock' to kick some Candy A##, this is the wrong movie. He is a naive father just trying to help his son. Really good movie, i am going to take my son that is 6 to see this. I dont think i could make him see how much trouble he could get in from a stupid decision. This movie drives it home. If you cry a lot, you will cry

    Loved it

    by

Simply stated...GO SEE IT. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was awesome. I loved the storyline. I'm not a parent but I know that I know my parents would go to the ends of the earth for me.

Parents take your teenagers to see it.

    Good Snitch

This movie was incredible and I think Dwayne Johnson's acting is gettng better and better with each passing dramatic role. None of that "superman" stuff he does in GI Joe or Fast and Furious. He really enacted a concerned father who wanted to do right by his son in making sure he didn't do time for a crime he got caught up in. I enjoyed his first dramatic turn in "Gridiron Gang" and now I like this acting role as well. Go see "Snitch" and I promise you won't be dissappointed.

    SNITCH

Snitch is an exciting and simple thriller that once again proves to me that Dwayne Johnson is a capable and strong lead actor. This movie executes two missions: A) to entertain us; and B) to put some big exclamation points on a couple of messages about certain drug laws in this country in need of a thorough re-examination.

    Wonderful Movie!

I am Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson fan, so I went to see this movie primarily to see him. I really enjoyed it. Drama, suspense, as another reviewer said, the truck chase scene was epic. The pacing was just a little slow for me, but otherwise, I would definitely see it again.

    A Gripping Action Movie

The Rock is back with a vengeance in a story about a small time business man turned hired wheelman for a narcotic crime syndicate. After his son is accused of a foiled plot to smuggle narcotics, Dave Mathews (The Rock) decides to go undercover as a DEA informant and intercept the dark criminal enterprise of illegal drug smuggling. Working as an undercover agent and wheeling contraband across state lines, the Rock finds more than he could bargain for. Snitch is an action packed melodrama full of suspense, an edge of your seat climax, and a star studded performance.

    Snitch

    by jobrito

Took my 8 yr. old grandson & we liked the movie quite a bit. In fact, I was surprised at how well Dwayne Johnson was able to bring his "serious" character to life. Pretty good story. Grandson wanted more action scenes, but he is a huge WWE fan and is used to the action. Mr. Johnson is a very handsome man; love his smile & abs!!!

    Good to see

Good movie to watch. Doesn't have the type of language and violence that a lot of movies have. But don't be fooled this movie isn't all clean and pretty. It shows the horrible side of drugs and how drugs can destroy your life your friends and most of all your family.
I am glad I watched this movie.

    Great movie.

The Rock is the best in this film. You understand the crime system and its deep and worth seeing it. The Rock nails his character well and it's a great movie to see in theatre.

Entertaining Action Movie with an Edge

I enjoyed the film. Susan Sarandon, Barry Pepper and Jon Berehthal were all very good in their roles. As well as the actor who played "Malik", a local drug dealer. I like Dwayne Johnson but he lacked the required emotion during some of the scenes with his son to make his role believable. He was OK, but a few acting lessons might make him a little more credible in those type of roles. He plays a tough guy very well. I liked him a lot in "Walking Tall" but this role required a little more emotion than he was capable of delivering on.

Well done, really liked it, but it's a DRAMA!

This movie is a DRAMA, based on real life events, and makes a statement about the "three strikes" laws and their misapplication to teenage first-time offenders caught in the system. The story at root is based on a father's love for his son, and how far he is willing to go, even risking his own life, to try to free his son. But the plot is really about drug-trafficking. While the story grabs you right from the beginning, it moves at a drama's pace, not an action-adventure pace! There is definitely suspense and some action throughout, but more on a gritty, gut-wrenching, painful, and sad level. This movie was totally NOT what I was expecting, but after settling in, I really liked it. I wonder if there is enough of a reality-check message for teens and their families about consequence, before they make naive decisions about who they associate with, holding their "stuff", and even coercion into drug-trafficking.

    Emotionally Powerfuly Story!

You know I always like these kinds of movies, mostly when there inspired by true events, great role play by all the characters in the movie,....requires lots of patience however, because I was expecting a lot of gun violence and shooting by law enforcement, but this movie was just the right kind of film for people like myself. I really loved this movie, I thought it was going to be rated R, but surprisingly it was rated PG-13. This movie almost brought tears to my eyes near the end, sometimes shy people have to hold back themselves, because I hate crying, it causes headaches as symptoms. This movie also reminds all of humanity, that when you get involved in drugs, money, and act in a criminal way, the prices of it are very heavy. You know the saying goes, "if you cant do the time, dont commit the crime." Great movie after all, really enjoyed it. Very powerful and well done! Enjoy, worth the money!
