More action, please

Took a bunch of 11 year olds to this and thought it lacked all the action this group was expecting. There was some but it wasn't the action movie they were Hoping for. Decent story line though and good anti-drug message.

This movie was better than I expected. It taught what is important in life. Family is more important than wealth. Drugs can destroy your life. One wrong decision can change your life forever.

Gripping Movie!

For all those who are looking for an action packed movie, this is not the movie for you. On the other hand, it has an emotional story about what a father will go through to save his son. Yes, there are sequences of action and ecxplosives, but it focuses more on the storyline than anything. Dwayne Johnson plays the role of a father who will go behind enemy lines to do what it takes to save his son from being in jail. Who do you trust? What would you do to save your kid? He must play both sides in order to complete his mission. I really enjoyed the flick, and Dwayne Johnson shows that he can be a credible actor and not just a wrestler. Go see it!

Best Acting by the Rock Since I Can't Remember When

Nice mix of action and drama, with surprisingly good to excellent performances by Dwayne Johnson (aka "The Rock"), and from the HBO hit series "The Wire," Michael K Williams (as "Omar Little") and former "The Walking Dead" cast member, Jon Bernthal (as "Shane"). The plot become predictable about midway, but has lots of twists and turns afterward that will hold your interest through to the end. Providing and excellent costar performance, this movie could have easily been about Jon's character, far from his "bad cop" role in TWD. You expect that at any moment Dwayne will go into wrestle mode and start knocking heads, but it never happens, especially in the light of his physical domanace against a backdrop of physically normal characters. This movie makes me want to see Michael K Williams in a different typecast. All in all- bravo, good work!

not good

In this movie The Rock has a construction company and what he sould do with it is have all his workers dig a hole and put this movie in side of it. After that the head stone sould read he lies a very forgettable flim that no one will rember came out this year by the time it is May.

Great Movie! Be prepared for a very slow start so get your popcorn and soda and enjoy. I thought there would be more action but over all since it was a based on a true story I guess it had to unfold as told. Yes another outstanding performance by Dewayne. This is was totally out of his normal character yet he nailed it. No tank top scenes, but still fabulously fine! Keep up the good entertainment. Good for the entire family to enjoy.

Snitch is a must-see, action movie

I loved this movie. I took my 13 yr old son and he even gave it a great review (and he's very picky as to what he watches). Some said it was not enough action. Based on the story of the movie, I thought it had some good action and it was very well scripted/written/directed! Can't wait for this movie to come out on dvd because I will buy it!

Snitch

Great story, Dwayne is getting better at acting, not just a wrestling star anymore. Story compelling and obviously a powerful message to some of the naive, young people who just don't have the life experience to see the "down side" of some of the choices they make.

The beginning was a boring it definitely got better as it when on... Overall it was ok nothing great... Good movie to watch if you have nothing else to watch...

Mandatory Minimums

I respect anyone edgy enough to tackle this controversial topic. I am the mom of sons whom I've known since the day they were born would be targets for racial profiling and the possibility of being sucked in by a system more dysfunctional than you could ever imagine. The role that The Rock plays is at odds with himself, but that truly makes the film more appealing. We all struggle with choosing between what's right and what's wrong daily, but when pushed against the wall to defend or protect your family...until you've lived through hell and come out on the otherside...don't tell me what you'll do, because you don't know. Nice work Dwayne Johnson!

left hanging

I absolutely love dwayne johnson and my husband and i were excited to see this movie. the story line was great, however we felt that it left us hanging. we expected a lot more action and it seems as though it skipped out on a lot of stuff. left me feeling as if i wasted my money to see it in the theatre and wish i would have waited for it to come out on video. looking forward to gi joe!

It had a few dull moments but overall it was a great movie, Dwayne Johnson was a serious actor and he played the roll beautifully.
