    Sure there are a few scary pop-out moments, the music and photography accentuate that but.......the plot is lame, many holes, and from Guierrmo I expect a lot more quality and depth.

    PANS LABYRINTH this is not.

    Good Horror Flick

    I must say I enjoyed Mama. I did not think I would enjoy it be it that most horror movies are such a disappointment but I can honestly say it kept me interested and I jumped quite a few times. My daughter did not jump as much as I did but she enjoyed the film too. I also got a kick out of hearing other moviegoers scream out which is a very rare. I would go and see it again.

    Mama

    It wasn't as scary as they made it seem, but it was really a good movie. You seemed a little lost at the beginning of the movie and then it takes shape. I was really bummed at the end (won't tell you) but was glad the older one made it. Was a little perplexed how someone could live off of cherry seeds for five years but...I'm not a doctor. Guess I could look it up on google.

    MAMA

    This is a GO SEE for sure. It has a easy to follow story line that keeps you interested the whole movie. Intense sceens and great effects. The cast was captivating.

    Hilariously Scary.

    Seeing how scared everyone got made me laugh and got me more relaxed, but that doesn't mean I didn't jump. It definitely has parts you wouldn't expect and you would never expect the ending. It's crazy and has many twists. I would say go. If you are a horror freak and pick apart every aspect of the movie, you MAY not enjoy it, buuuuut I think it was great.

    Please Mama No...............

    Very good movie until the ending. Just could've gone a different direction than it did. Ending left alot to be desired. Still, go see and judge for yourself!

    Oh Mama

    Didn't really come in with any expectations for this movie, and surprisingly, it was good. The story was a little so-so but I and my girl enjoyed it. It was too scary for a horror lover like I am but it was a little crazy

    Scary beginning to end!

    I am a big fan of scary movies - so I've seen them all. This one I have to say, very good beginning to end! I recommend it! My bf and I were even talking about it the next day. Writer is well known and comes up with some great stuff. This story was very well thought out, some parts very believable, & you feel things for the characters. Of course it has your usual scenes where certain people have death wishes - you're saying - why the heck would he do this and that and at dark too! But, that is what makes a scary movie. Worth seeing and it will scare you where you jump and even yell!

    Is this another Grudge like movie?

    I just went to see the movie last night. I was slightly disappointed,I thought it was going to be more drama, more nail biting scariness, but it was not. It had a few jumps here and there, but that was it. It reminds me so much of the Grudge with similarities from the Ring as well. If I had to grade this movie I would rate it as a B- or C+.

    MAMA is grand and horrific - fun time for all

    I found MAMA to be a creative and exciting piece of film making. Scary, exciting, creepy, tearful, unsettling and excellent acting by all. Don't go in the closet... The special effects and sound were very creative And the editing was top notch. I WOULD SEE IT AGAIN.

    Good not Great

    I am HUGE fan of Guillermo del Toro movies. This move was good; but, I expected more in terms of plot from del Toro. The cinematography was good, the acting was well done and the directing was great.

    If you are a fan of scary flicks...

    Mama was just enough creeps for the rating. I went with my daughters who also enjoyed it. We are huge scary movie buffs all year round and thought Mama had enough edge of seat moments to keep us interested.

    Why do I waste my time with PG-13?

    True horror fans be warned. This movie sucks! This is another Hollywood attempt to cash in on the teen scream. I was so glad when it was over. Much like Cabin in the Woods and The Possession, this movie preys on the corny emotions that Lifetime movies are made of.

    I saw the movie with my family last night. I thought it was ok. A few scary part"s. the graphics on mama were good. after watching the movie I thought to myself " and that's why I don't pay to go to the movies.

    one eye opened, one eye closed!

    The suspense & scary mood was great! We were hooked all the way through & even jumped a couple of times. As for the ending, hopefully the DVD will offer alternates.
